One of my favorite High On Fire songs! This fucking rips! Thank you for posting! I did a double take...Jeff almost looks like George in this... High On Fire continues to slay!
Absolute Landmark Stoner Band...it's beyond stoner...something new entirely...this band deserves the highest amount of love and respect from all metal listeners.
Holy motherfucker... is that an eight-string semi-hollow? I've always loved semis with no F-holes (like the Gibson Lucille) and I've always loved eight-stringers too, but fuck me the usual Meshuggah-type Ibanez things are ugly. That's a beautiful guitar right there.
@EccentricRichard This is a double cutaway 9-string guitar, with three strings on the bass side and six on the treble side. Each treble string is doubled for a chorused twelve-string guitar sound. Made by the company First Act.
@NegotiorumGestio - right, OK. I just love the way it looks... and doubling the treble strings makes sense. Les Pauls and the like tend to run out of steam a bit up the top end. I wonder if you could run one of these things as a more conventional nine-stringer? I do love the Meshuggah guitar sound - I think their eight-stringers are tuned something like GBEADGBE. I just can't live with the Superstrat looks. Is this 9-stringer solid- or semi hollow-bodied?
Sadly, this is kinda "forgotten" HOF song. Though it's one of their finest moments. And from the best record in their career. This audience did NOT give it the love it deserves.
Totally agree. I was acctually on this perticular concert. The show was great, but D.A.D played at the same time, so the majority of people went there instead, which sucked ass.
Atleast the crowd near stage, including myself, almost walked out of there with whiplash because of the headbanging.
@NebraskaDoom I don't agree with you that it's their best album nbut your entitled to you opinion always thought that "art of..." was the album where Matt was finding his own way instead of Sleep. But fireface is the best track from art! Me I love "Blessed Black Wings" but I really find"death is this communion" as an masterpiece and the best album of the 00 or whatever you wanna call the last decade. Love to all of you guys and dudettes for diggin great music
