@bobospoot I bet it is but I had watched the english dub on VHS when it first came out so I never had a chance to watch the original Japanese edition. I plan to get the film on dvd when I can.

P.S. I think the English version is creepier than the original. It must be their droning voices...or maybe it's just the quality of this upload? It's been a while since I've heard the English version. I prefer the Japanese one, though. Just has more energy to the vocals and seems more upbeat :)

I have little to say about the song, but is this anyone else's favorite anime film? I mean, I like robots, monsters, mecha etc. but my God, this film just sort of touched me and creeped me out. Theme of identity and illusion was unbelievably deep. This may have overtaken Ghost in the Shell and Neon Genesis Evangelion for me. ANyone else love it?

Yeah...I must say I am totally NOT an anime fan.. I mean I might like stuff like ...G-force..Voltron..crap like that, but I'm more of a lifelong horror fanatic.

Cant turn down Ghost in the shell though.

....Anyone that's a Dario Argento fan NEEDS this film.

Or any horror subgenre for that matter.

I've MADE every friend i had when after i first saw this, or have made since, watch this.

well... :) ... heh heh..."roxbury" is what we call that little head knocking , pointing and finger snappng thing we do when we cant admit that a certain tune is catchy but we suddenly find ourselves moving to it anyway.

example: look up "Night at the Roxbury" haha

This is definitely my fav anime film (if you don't count the Studio Ghibli collection). This one had my braint hinking and even at the end, I was still looking for clues and wondering what parts were madness or not? I love films that get me thinking....definitely an underrated little gem.
