Just FYI, in Croatia using siren and lights in traffic by vehicles that do not belong to police, ambulance or firemen, is punishable by law. These guys were very lucky they werent stopped by real police - they would pay big fines, and their siren and light equipment would be confiscated...

one small comment, they don't get done for impersonating police as they use a foreign livery. for example, in the Gumballs in the EU the car is decked out in canadian livery, in the US (which has been done) it's in an EU livery. The lights get killed when they go past officials...
Good point Rin, they seem to kind of obscure the police markings to make it kind of generic (which I am sure is planned). In the US the markings would not matter, if you behave like a police officer would on the road with the lights and sirens going you can be arrested for a felony.
That was some of the coolest shit I have ever seen. I was laughing my arse off, and the driver did a great job of avoiding any crashes. I was very impressed. For any Europeans that see this, do not try this in the States, impersonating a police officer is a very serious felony crime here. Probably because we have so much crime. Plus, if you were in an accident with those fake lights and sirens you could be sued for millions. Congrats, I enjoyed the ride and was cracking up.

No it wasn't, part of the driver training course focuses on convoy driving. The driver of the ambulance is concentrating on the cars in front and would be ignoring the car behind. Which is why you should never follow and emergency vehicle through traffic as it wont keep the gaps open for you, that is the job of the pursuing driver.

Actually they do, emergency vehicle drivers in Europe are given the same driver training across the board. In fact you have to complete further training to drive a full sized ambulance to learn how to compensate for the heavier back end.
tragic as it really was, in the nine or so years of gumball, this has been the first fatality. it was indeed a terrible incident, but it will go on and they will still drive like that - deal with it

Good point Rin, they seem to kind of obscure the police markings to make it kind of generic (which I am sure is planned). In the US the markings would not matter, if you behave like a police officer would on the road with the lights and sirens going you can be arrested for a felony.

That was some of the coolest shit I have ever seen. I was laughing my arse off, and the driver did a great job of avoiding any crashes. I was very impressed. For any Europeans that see this, do not try this in the States, impersonating a police officer is a very serious felony crime here. Probably because we have so much crime. Plus, if you were in an accident with those fake lights and sirens you could be sued for millions. Congrats, I enjoyed the ride and was cracking up.

The bad thing is that they kind of think that they're some kind of rebels. It's risky and the thing to think about is, that they not only put themselfes to risk also the ambulance and the people they're going to help as well...
really really stupid and actually a shame. I'm a fan of fast and risky driving, as long as i don't put others to a risk but this is not fun anymore.

if ambulance driver is concentrating on vehicles in front then why does driver in video (at 0.06) indicate to ambulance driver to remain in front when ambulance attempts to slow and let what is presumed to be a Police vehicle to pass? Emergency vehicle drivers are not given same driver training across the board ... in the UK there is no legal requirement for emergency driver driving on blue lights to be blue light trained

No it wasn't, part of the driver training course focuses on convoy driving. The driver of the ambulance is concentrating on the cars in front and would be ignoring the car behind. Which is why you should never follow and emergency vehicle through traffic as it wont keep the gaps open for you, that is the job of the pursuing driver.

I dont get how people can say the driver of the car is stupid, The fuckin ambulance has half the power and handleing that car has , even on its worse day. It has sirens and he is a good fuckign driver. U sould be bitching at the ambulance, They dont fuckin train those drivers to drive they way they were they assume lights and sirens will stop people... I think the video is awsome, Good raceing

Actually they do, emergency vehicle drivers in Europe are given the same driver training across the board. In fact you have to complete further training to drive a full sized ambulance to learn how to compensate for the heavier back end.

tragic as it really was, in the nine or so years of gumball, this has been the first fatality. it was indeed a terrible incident, but it will go on and they will still drive like that - deal with it
