I have the facelift 2001 accord type r, a bit more power and lighter than the pre-facelift I believe . It's totally standard and can't believe just how much fun and how good it is .

Its the older 92-95 VTI, so its REALLY light. I know the 2.2 will have more torque, but the power to weight of the VTI would probably be better. Plus you never know the speed, and position of VTEC zone. Both cars are awesome. Simple as that.

wats the point putting at the start that vti's are 160bhp and accord type r's are 212bhp when the vti clearly isnt standard, why dont you put what bhp the car is

My Vti was stock in this vid.. the ATR have one passenger.. anyway both cars tuned b16 wins!

BTW my car was making 162bhp at the time..

Accord is slightly faster to 60 and should have a better top speed.

actually those two are about the same 7.2sec official for accord and 7.3sec for the civic.

and yes accord should have slightly better top speed but nothing major.

your wrong about the civic time because the hatch back does it in 7.5 and the saloon in that vid does it in 7.7. the only civic that can do it in 7.3 is the old ef9 civics.
