to clear some things up:

- the serial number on the back of the bottle MUST match the one on the box. if it doesn't then it's a fake.

- the cover in the front is metal, not plastic. if it's plastic then again, it's fake.

Hey, nice vid. came across it trying to find out what i should do. bought some online and been using other bottles for about 2 years. Started using the new one and got a nasty rash on my neck and wrists (had to use hydrocortisone for 3 days to get rid of it). the smell doesnt last anywhere near as long and the top symbol looks warn compared to my empty 100ml one and has had little use. do i report the site or complain to the site? cheers!

luckily i kept the real bottle and box i purchased a while back. I compared the 2 and noticed some differences....you confirmed for me that i have purchased a fake one.

when i compare the 2 i notice that on the fake box the logo is not embossed like the real one. you made me realise the codes dont match on the bottle or box

Thanks for shedding light on this and giving a heads up, I bought a 3.4 bottle on ebay which seems to be real and smells great but I wondered if you have trouble with the plastic gold cover I noticed with it on it sprays a small/narrow more concentrated spritz and the trigger gets stuck and doesnt retract without a little tap or flicker but I took off the gold plastic cover and noticed it sprays much more fluidly and shorter but wider spritz. Just checked mine, probably a fake. Bought for $50. Same serial number on bottom as fake in vid, same flawed glass, but here's the kicker, the 1 million on the button does not have the dollar printed on it., which is/was the easiest way to tell the fakes. They're always one step ahead. Thanks heaps this is really informative, opened my eyes alot.

Watch out guys just picked one up off craigslist today. Doesnt have the DOLLAR on the sprayer and the number etched on the sprayer was the same as the one on the box so I didnt think much of it till i got home compared to the two and noticed how the bottom glass was messed up and theres a gap between the front adn rest of the bottle. Got so excited didnt pay much attention ): smells the same just not as strong.

@Johnnyboybravo They are very similar to a novice nose, and to myself as well, however I couldnt pick out differences until I had them side by side. The fake smells very similar, but also very cheap and does not last for more than an hour

@WallyStinx YEs unfortunately they do try to pass them off as the real thing, and downtown NYC with all the tourists is a prime location for these people. Many are foreigners who barely speak english, and they will swear up and down its authentic, and believe me without a thorough examination its easy to be fooled, I sure have been

@shanetyty Honestly I know someone on canal street in NYC who sells jewlery and has ready access to these things so I pay less than $20 for them, however these people try to sell fakes almost at retail anyway, however they will go down quite a ways too.
