You'll notice this video was featured on the Capcom-Unity Blog, for example. Many people there haven't seen it, and those who have seen it casually might not know it's actually Evo (I've had people who know I am on Evo Staff come up to me and tell me about the Daigo Parry vid, not knowing it was Evo!). So this video is for those who aren't actually in the scene.

I see your point. If Brawl were to come into EVO, it would be alot tweaking of the rules. Lots of stages banned, no smash balls, and it would suck if random tripping ended up costing a match for someone. I also understand where you're coming from with SNK games.
