  • was this filmed with a rock?

  • it was taken off a vhs recording.

  • Runner #1352 totally got rejected by El Guerrouj.

  • beautiful sequence @ 2:52-2:57

  • Hicham El Guerrouj is one of the athlete I've been respecting!!^^

    Thanks for uploading!!^^

    His spirit is forever!!^-^

  • viv hicham et viv maroc

  • Guerrouj is so smooth with everything when he runs, he is unbelievable to watch!

  • sick head... loving the dance at the endx

  • what song is this?

  • salt tank by eugina. michael woods remix

  • it just makes no sense how they keep that pace the whole way

  • 5 hours of training each day, 12 hours of sleep, for years, at altitude.

  • and dont eat bad food or drink

  • wats the song called?

  • HA go hicham!! playing air guitar when he wins =)

  • Eugina-Salt Tank

  • another moroccan runner is coming his name is eguidir he ran this year 3 32 i think he can run 3 30 he is 21 years old i hope he wil improve in the comming years we will watch him in the olympics i give him at least the silber medal

  • u're right bro...kada(elguerrouj's former coach) just picked him up recently and took him to school for the past few month...the results are showing he's at 3:31,84 based on last week's golden leaugue..in a sprint to the line i pick him over anybody in the world right now much6 better sprinter than lagat so yes i think he can even bring home gold from beijing

  • i hope so though i think it is too optmistic letsy say we hope he will stand on the podium, he still needs to improve , i hope next year he can run under 3 29 he is a good runner still i dont think he will be in the calibre of el guerrouj by the way are you moroccan like me?

  • yes i'm moroccan...let's not forget el guerrouj was 22years old when he won his 97world championship vs morcelli, except elg progressed pretty fast during that season dropping his 1500m pb to 3:29 & 3:28 and we all knew he was capable of winning 96olympics at 21years old if it wasn't for the fall based on his unbeaten record of 1996 up until atlanta(fell) and here we have iguider at 21 who has a pb of 3:31, actually ran a 3:35 when he was 17(world junior champs record) so watch out Mr ramzi.

  • do you have any video of iguider i didnt have the cance to see him running

    thanx brother

all the best luck for our team in pekin

    Go MOrocco

  • u know i'm still looking for his videos still...i guess nobody knows about him just yet but i bet u they will very soon iguider is very talented...by the way i like selsouli alaoui entering the 5000m..she was always a 5000m runner but recently she's been running the 1500 m in the past couple years..she just didn't have enough speed to overtake the doping russians but now that they're out of the olympics i wish she could run the 1500m...but hey she can still win a slow 5000m over the ethiopians

  • i think it will be difficult for her to compete with the ethiopians i believe the most she can do is to be 3rd in the race. i was disapointed with her last year in 1500m ,this year she can be in the podium since the russians are absent but meriam jamal is just too good that i cant see anyone else can take the gold medal.

  • same of the song pls

  • Last 100m was 13.1, last 200m 26.1, last 300m 40.5, 400m in 54.0. Coe's splits in LA in his 3:32 were slightly faster; 12.7, 25.7, 39.2 and 53.2

  • hello friend,

but el guerrouj intentionally slowed down in the final meters

  • Lol! He wasn't slowing down that much!

Yes I've saw Eguider at Berlin at the beginning of the month. Looks pretty good. Think a silver this year is a bit optimistic but certainly one for the next few years. Might be wrong,...could win a medal in the right type of race.

  • just joking hw would have finished 53 80 if he didnt slow down in the last 4 meters

i was disapointed from alain webb previous year i was expecting much from him this year there are many good runners not into the level of elg co aouita morceli cram ovett...

but i expect good race this year a furious competion will be among webb ramzi lagat baala and iguider and maybe some other kenyans i bet for ramzi this year as ast year he was not well prepared due to injuries

  • Apparently Baala missed several months winter training &has only run 1 race of note (Euro Cup victory) in v. slow time. I think Ramzi ran in Berlin but didn't look that good. It will prob be between Lagat and whichever (other) Kenyans go! Perhaps Choge. Iguider is still an unknown quantity but seems to have the talent to do well. Webb has only run a 3:55 Mile so far, but if he peaks at the right time will be dangerous. My 2 outside bets are Baddeley & Kaki, who I think will run the 800 & 1500m.

  • no ramzi didnt race in Berlin kakis time in 800 is awesome 1:42.69.i dont know what happened to webb he ran an excellent mile previous year i was afraid he can beat the mile record as well baala was a threat to el g he couldnt even qualify for the final previous year athletes are now not consistent and i dont see so far somone who can take the lead of el g co and the others great milers? i hope somone can at least run inside 3 30 this year the mile races are loosing there charm

  • Im sure Ramzi has already run this year and didn't perform well; maybe it was the Dream Mile in Oslo!? Baala did qualify for the final last year (and he was actually my favourite to win the gold!) but he was disqualified for impeding another runner in the home straight. I think he might be towards the end of his career now and having missed 2 months winter training it is doubtful he will be a real medal contender. I hope I am wrong as it would make a nice change for a European win.

  • and the last 100m was about 12.7 (yes, i'm a big enough fanatic to time it)

  • that was a great run and an awsum kick too

  • dude these guys are pro my PB is 4:41

  • shit xDD ...in year 2012 i'll been at W Championship :))

  • As a former track runner, i'm astounded at what the human body is capable of doing, to think that God has given us such great abilities is awesome! I love this sport, and I appreciate the diligence that each of those men put forward in that race! God bless them all!

  • Dude thats bragging rights right there!

  • through 800m in 1:57ish, then finishes in 3:31... unreal!

  • Great musical choice! It is uplifting, as is this performance.

  • I am so inspired by these great athletes. El Guerrouj's kick starts at 2:55 with 300 meters left. That part is just unreal.

  • push it to the limits, push it to the limiiiiiiiiits, thx for vid man, pure moroccan skill that hicham

  • thanks for the song name. yes, to me it is the most real sport out there. it's not about natural coordination with a ball, it is about hard work, and takes the most dilligent person to become a preofessional runner. these guys push themselves to the limit, and that makes them true men.

  • it is a truly beautiful sport. the music is a rare track "Eugina - Salt Tank (micheal woods remix)"

  • what a race everyone seems happy at the end and they all shake shakes what a beautiful sport

  • who's the music by? we all like it, got a name?

  • great music!!!!

  • great music to go with the event... thanks...
