  • This is great! Thanks for showing me how to play this awesome song. I also love just pressing the 0 (zero) key over and over and over. Classic!

  • @MsKonkeyDong Thanks for the comment - once you have the tuning, it's really not that hard.

  • Awesome!

You have just earned yourself a fan!

I have no idea how you managed that without a capo.

    Miracles.

  • Lol why does this look like its from the 80's or something

  • really awsome but you missed out some of the song.

  • wow your D-42 has D-45 inlays! what gauge strings do you use?

  • Hi Edward

I use Elixir 11-52 strings on all my guitars. I don't own this one any more - I part-exed it for the Andy Manson Jumbo you can see me playing in other videos.

    Mike

  • Wow :D

  • Easy to do really - put the guitar in Open D tuning (DADF#AD) and use the barre plus string 5 2 frets above the barre for the 'vamp' and use an Dm shape across the strings for the high bits. You can do that.

  • best big yellow taxi cover on you tube

  • Thanks - I'm pleased and surprised in equal measure. I only did it the 'thrash' that Martin really heavily.

    Mike

  • Once I had my drooling under control...

I loved what I heard too.

    Incredible guitar and incredible picking.

    Thanks for the tune.

  • Great job and a great tone out of that guitar. I think it may be a 1988 Martin D42 LE (for limited edition). I have one as well. Martin only made 75 of them back in '88. I have number 16.
