I got a preschool class room and the majority of the class are boys so I am going to give this a try because the weather is getting better and the kids will love it XD

talk with my child about the reaction? is my preschooler going to understand things like surface tension, gasses being dissolved into solution, gasses coming out of solution, or even ideas like microscopic nucleation sites, such as those found scatted across the surface of the Mentos? Well, I know my preschooler understands all that, but what about the average preschoolers out there?

put a small hole in the cap and drop the mentos in then screw it back on and throw it in the pool for a speed bottle thing lol

what are school does is put a hole in the mentod and put a string throught them and put a hole in the cap of the bottle and thread the ends of the string holding the mentos through and use tape to hold the still and then use lemonade not coke and add food colouring to it and put the lid back on the bottle making sure the mentos arnt tuching and then shake the bottle and coloured liquid comes out its fun

HA, a better thing to do is

get diet coke a pack of mentos take the cap of the coke than take of the cover of the mentos leaving the silver wraping than put the whole pack of silver mentos in the coke close the cap than shake it hard unscrew the cap until you hear the fizzing sound then slam it against the groung and it a rocket XD

no the tiny holes in the mentos is part of what makes it work the fruit ones dont have as much holes as they r covered by the fruit covering, and there r chemicals that help to make it happen but the holes help out a lot.

it will only work with mint...the fruit ones take longer...the mintes dont...there instant...lol...

The mint ones work better because of their outside coating. The fruit ones are different because of their coloured coating.

the mentos has small pits like the guy said but the c02 goes into the pits and releases a gas of bubbles. thats why u see bubbles.

theres thousands of little pits on mentos where the CO2 (carbon dioxide) forms. since the mentos sink, the CO2 pushes the soda out the top in a fountain of fizzy soda.

you know whats better put as many mentos in the bottle as possible and then have somebody else cap the body before it explodes that way it bildes up pressure and then throw it as hard as you can at the ground it rockets into the air and does circles in the air and everything. But make sure you get out of the way of it cause it can hurt

what i do is surround a couple in tape then put it in the cap then have them fall into the capped coke then through it on the ground and bam
