@stairmaster3001 depending on where you live, you may want it to be quiet.. or if you're like me and say fuck it, I would get a 3" catless downpipe with a 3" magnaflow catback. It won't be loud when daily driving and will sound really good but when you get into boost, you'll hear it :) Just my 2cents. Youtube "42draft designs 3" turboback" they sound great!

@person3213 the back pressure is in the turbo. if it were just a regular 4-cylinder like a honda, no exhaust could mess some shit up, but with a turbo, the turbo usually provides more than enough back-pressure.

ok for starters you dont really need that much back pressure with a turbod car bc the turbo gives it some back pressure. and with no exhaust would make it spool faster and give you more power.

I busted my downpipe hitting a speed bump two days ago, the downpipe broke completely off where it's welded to the mesh/hatched part of the pipe. Sounds exactly like this golf. It sounds beastly when I push it to 5500RPM in second gear and upshift, it's like BRRRWAAAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH TGKOU BRRRWAAAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I blew my stock flex up, and went from doing a 15.2 quarter-mile to a 14.8.. So theoretically, it's faster, but for 3rd 4th and 5th gears on long pulls, it feels as if my boost isn't constant.
