Another thing, If we are attacked by any nuclear power, it would be their first move to pop a nuke 300 miles above the surface for the EMP. That would fry all electronic devices. So immagine how many cars are computer driven, and would become a 2 ton yard ornament. If you have devices like hand held walkie talkies, it would be prudent to limit use. All comunications would be considered a target for elimination. USe should be limited to 1 minute intervals at pre arranged times.

It only makes sence that he would do this. Airplanes use radio broadcasting frequency towers to navigate. If there would be a bombing of Iran by Israel, the insuing all out global warthat would break loose would be disasterous. Shutting off all broadcasting would force pilots to use VFR to navigate. I would probably bet that the GPS satelite system would be restricted severly, or only available to US and allied forces. If you are not prepared with supplies, you have wasted precious time.
