yep the twister is a wrestling move applied when the opponent gives the back. Bravo learned it and started to think of ways to get the back when jj guys lay on their back.
amazing.....I saw a video of Dean Lister showing a kimura in side control by posting out your leg closest to the lower body so you don't get rolled, then you have space to grab the arm if your opponent has their arms close to you....only now i see that it's twister side control.
God does he have ridiculous flexibility. I been workin on mine night and day. But I'm 205 and its slow goin. You guys got anytips beside stretching everyday....
Hi submissions101 folks. i have a question. At the end of some Eddie Bravo videos there is an advrtisement of a 3 DVD box called mastering the rubber guard. I live in México and I want to buy it, my question is ¿Is there any Eddy Bravo official site where i can buy that DVD box? Thanxs
buy say, Ari, I already own the two books, mastering the rubber guard and mastering the twister(and they are signed by Eddie! woohoo!). Would the DVD be a great asset? Is there moves in there that are not in the books? And are the live demonstrations better than looking at pictures and reading the exact steps and details about every steps?
Excuse me I meant video demonstrations, not live demonstrations. I know there is nothing like going at the gym, and I go to the gym as often as I can.
However, in the gym, we drill a technique or two for like 45 minutes, and the rest of the class is sparring. Its cool, but if I wait to be taught how to do a kimura for example, I can wait for a long time. While by studying in books or DVD, I can go see what I want.
Ex: I pulled off a gator roll in class after reading it in Eddie's book!
Basically like nothing fancy, just like how you showed the gogoplata by introducing the move and showing it. If it has already been done, I apologize and request that you link me?
I was wondering if you could get the lock down in regular side control when he turns into you by switching to the twister side control. That would be a more surprising as you feel him try the knee escape you switch into twister side control get the lock and roll... Just a thought I guess I will try it out....
fuck man id love to c how flexible bj penn is like ive heard he can fuckin put his leg behind his head without using his hands, like bravo is realllly flexible and penns a few levels above him, sssh holy shit! time to put the fuckin work in
Is it possible for when you successfully set up the twister, instead of a neck-crank can you choke them if there was gi?

if you want to be flexible you'll just have to bite the bullet and stretch dude, there's no way around it.

Could you guys do a regular Twister instructional? I can't seem to find one.

What do you mean by regular instructional? There are several videos from Eddie on here and on our site of twister set ups. Can you elaborate please?

Live teaching is better than video. Video is better than books. Books are better than nothing. ;-) the DVD IS well worth it.
