@danni2602: It depends on where you live. I live in America, and in my state the public schools always broke up on the twenty-second (depending on its placement in the calendar). However, because of budget cuts the schools broke up on the nineteenth this year (but they go back January second). It's been that way as long as I can remember. (I'm a first year uni student and was in the same school system until I graduated.)
