Interesting comments. This songs was released on his solo album entitled "Meniketti". Which was released in 2002. The song is not about a girlfriend or lover. Dave has been married for many years. This song is in dedication to his mother who lost her fight with cancer many years ago. As stated before, Dave was never offered to join Van Halen and that's from his mouth not mine.

A little back ground on Mr, Meniketti..Dave was going to take over the lead singing in Van Halen, when Roth left Van Halen. Dave and Eddy were best of friends, up until they had a big falling out. No one knows why or what the fight was about?

Actually thats not true. If you ask Dave himself he will tell you that this never happened. BUT, he was offered to join Ozzys band after Randy passed away. And without a regret, he declined.

Yeah..Both of Dave's albums(On The Blue Side and Meniketti) were just as great as the other. "I Remember","Storm","Lay Me Down" and "Messin' With Mr. Big" were my favorites on this album.
