What a startlingly subtle usage of the banjo with piano. My cellist-friend thought it was a lute. Then accordion with strings. "Beauty Mark" is another of his songs with simply fascinating ideas of orchestration.

How lushly rich a musical arrangement to this beautiful sonnet. Absolutely perfect. Need to listen regularly to soak of the beauty of Rufus' voice and musical creation.

this is such a sweet sonnet. it's one of those things that you get tears in your eyes by reading because it's SO PRECIOUS. and put to music, it's just lovely. and rufus' voice makes it extra lovely.

@LittleSummerLady It's from CD called "When Love Speaks" all sorts of actors, actresses and musicians performing sonnets, a great listen in the car when things get fraught.

just look for sonnet 43 and sonnet 20. Rufus is putting 10 sonnets to music for a play from Robert Wilson and Berlin ensemble.
