the color looks lighter if you look at it on line at a website. if you search " epiphone korina explorer on ebay youll see that the color that micheal has is korina. so dont worry if you order it im getting one cant wait!

your Epiphone looks great. Did Epiphone change the looks of the guitar a bit?

A few months ago this guitar was much lighter from the wood and also had

black caps. Would you really recommend the Seymour Duncan pickups?

I was thinking to get maybe the Gibson 496 and 500T.

The Gibson 496 and 500T are very hot. Not a good choice for U2. It depends on what you play. For U2 get the Seth Lover SH-55. It's a vintage sounding pup with no wax fill.

This is a Korina Explorer. Not sure how it's different than others. Maybe the wood they used for this run was lighter. But it is Korina.

i agree ,my girlfriend bought me one of these guitars ,the neck is really comfortable and the original pickups sound great through my jsx,plays like £2000 guitar.

Can I ask why you changed all the original internals? Is it to come closer to the sound of The Edge or because the quality of the originals is bad?

The original pups are not good. Bride is fine also. I was just picky and wanted a locking bridge. I thought the pup switch felt cheap. As for the pots and cap, I'm glad I did it. RS Electronics sells high quality CTS pots and a cap that makes the tone control very useable. It improves the tone. I think the internal electronics are cheap.

what you do is great, really unique is ideal to have to learn the secrets of the Edge, the only small thing is that may of us are a axe fx is equipping most of m13, which would be great is that you can make some tutorial with the m13 as you did with Until ...... thank you for his tutorials and good luck
