  • Detail & visual scope is awesome !! I can see the love you put into creating this * awesome *

  • how do you do that!!!!!???

  • the people that thumbs down on this vid are just people that don`t have a clue of all the effort you put in this video! i think it`s great :D

  • Wait...I have a question!

what program did you use to animate it? And Is the program free?

Can you animate on daz? Please answer Ohh and btw

    LOVED THE ANIMATION!

  • wow now you can make a horsegame XD

  • This is really good you should've added the water splahsing up. not to be mean or anything...

  • I am adding that as I work on what it takes to make yet another render I dream of producing another animation and maybe this vue program will lead me there, but the bar is set pretty high these days so be proud of this work here, be very proud.

I want you to know though that you set the bar pretty darn high with this animation and for that I curse you........lol

  • I know very well what a heart breaking process it is to produce quality work in animation all too well having started out using animator back in the days of onion skinning and drawing out every and every frame by hand. Today things are a bit easier to animate but yet they are harder because people now expect more in animation, I remember proudly showing a 30 second long hand drawn cartoon that I had worked on for six months off and on only to have my audience very much unimpressed....lol

  • I ran into this entirely by accident as I won a copy of vue on Ebay, a copy of version six and I was looking into what can be done in the program. I realize this is old and you probably don't even visit this clip anymore but on the off chance you do....This was great, wished it was longer I didn't want to leave just yet. Yes I know how time consuming the making of a video can be so I am not clambering for more, thanks for sharing!

  • @fritters56 Thank you for your lovely comments, I'm sure that you appreciate how long this tiny clip took to render, just wish I could afford a render farm lol! Hope you enjoy using Vue as much as I have done :)

  • the tails dont act right

  • ... or you could just use spore ;)

  • more!

  • hair looks steady

  • WHY

  • When I used to ride horses, and try to make them go through puddles, they would try to go around. When I insisted, they would then try to jump over them. They must think puddles are holes in the ground, and they will fall through into the sky.

Or, did I just miss the point that it is a cool-looking video?

  • you should make a game like that!

It would be sooo popular and amazingly fun!!!

  • be great if that was a game where you could be a horse and have your own herd

  • NICE!

  • loved it!! maybe you could make one that is longer!! very real looking! Great job!

  • Hi i think this is beautiful ,and has a calming effect,so very real ,wish it could have been longer, clever beautiful and a joy to watch,Brian

  • WOW !!

This horses must be in Horse Games! Realy beautyfull!!!

  • Reminds me to Wildlife Park 2 Horses...

  • Short and sweet, we at apewax films applaud you, check out our work and remember: Always subscribe to Apewax films

  • cool

  • that is sooooo cool!!!!!!!!!

  • short, but cool

  • Waou ... Pelase one more again but more !

  • Beautiful...just beautiful..... Dr M

  • Thank you :)

  • My pleasure. We live on horse property, although our daughter rides, not us. I'll have to get her here to see your videos.....she is singing in one of mine. Thank you so much for the moments of peace and delight when watching.....thank you so much. Highest Personal Regards, Dr M

  • "Moments of peace and delight...... In 15 seconds..... They aren't very big moments of peace and delight are they?

  • Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,

and some of us can not get out of bed for 15 sec of relief from the outside world...thank you for providing, and God Bless!

I'm a doctor, but was in a wicked car accident almost 4 years ago...am SURVIVOR of dysautonomia. Something I never even heard of in medical school.

Something you now know more about than other medical professionals: dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system (heart rate, blood pressure, etc.) = dysautonomia.

    15 sec = an eternity:-)

  • In that case, I'm happy that something of beauty placed in such a short space of time can mean so much to someone.

  • Seriously. What a fascinating display of such beauty.

Thank you and I'm Sub ing to you so I can see others, too...

    Highest Personal Regards, Dr M

  • kewlio!

  • Awesome! XD

  • Not bad. Not bad at all.

  • how did you do the hair

  • It's part of the 3d mesh and is controlled with morph targets. In Carrara (this was made in Vue) you can make dynamic hair which responds to movement and wind etc)

  • coolies!

  • Amazing, these are great! 8D

  • i checked out that website...so u hav to pay to make this stuff?

  • Vue and Poser are commercial programs as is the horse model used here, but there are free and/or cheap alternatives.

Check out Daz|Studio, that is a free character posing, animating and rendering program although it doesn't have the landscape and atmosphere ability that Vue has. I *think* it includes the free basic version of this horse model.

  • :) I like the different camera angles and the horse's whinnie!

  • good job!

  • suggestive

  • how did u do the camerawork?

  • The cameras in Vue have several options for simulating different effects, ie pedestrian, helicopter, missile and you can add camera shake to give a more realistic effect.

In this case apart from adding the camera shake I key framed the camera manually.

  • aaah make a longer one!

    this ones aweessoooome!

  • BRAVOOOO!!!

  • I'm trying to make a document so do i have to purchase different models off of the web or can they be made from strach?

  • These horses were purchased from Daz3d (direct links on my website).

You could make your own but it is a very time consuming process and hard to do, kudos to all those out there who *do* make there own!

If you own Poser there is a simpler horse model included in the content. I have a freebie for that on my website called the "Easy Pose Horse" that includes a realistic texture and morphs, you do need to own the original Poser horse model for it to work though.

  • omg how do you do this, sorry to sound dumb but what did you use to do this. you need to make a game :)

    TOTALLY AMAZING

  • Thank you :)

I used Poser 6 (from eFrontier) to animate the horses (the horse model is for sale at daz3d, see link on my website) and Photoshop to make the textures, I then imported them to a 3d landscape program called Vue Pro Studio, made the scenery and atmosphere and rendered :)

  • wow, i wish i could do that, lol. sounds so complex.

    totally awesome :)

  • OMG! Make a game NOOOW XD

It's sooooo amazing and great and good :D Best ever.. LOVE IT!

  • sooo really u should make a game with these graphics

  • If this was a game, i'd sure play it =D

  • Wonderful!!!

  • Wow, that is amazing.

  • Short and sweet.

  • how did you get the movements natural? i'm guessing you didn't use the walk path.

the front legs on animals went crazy when i tried the walk path

  • for once someone has got the key framing and timing distance down so the character movement isn't going in slow motion in comparison to the rest of the background. You've got it down. Glad you tyook the time to actually do some render tests before doing a full render before publishing your work. nice job.

  • Wow, wish it was longer too!!! Great.

  • Very nice keyframing.

  • Very nice work! Much better than my stuff. :)

  • Do you have to have vue esprit for this?

  • how much time you spent to render it?

  • Great

  • Really cool wish it was longer [:p]
