My name is SSG Duke (Army Retired) I have taken Basic Training twice! The first time was in Oct 1972 at Ft Ord, CA. Then I ETS in Oct 1975. Six months later I join the Calif Army Natl Guard part time. Then in March 1982 I got laid-off from my full time job so I decided to go back into the Army. I had to take Basic Training all over again and had to go back to the rank of E2/PVT! Took my BCT at Ft. Benning, Georgia. The second time around was much easier for I knew what to expect!
