  • Wait, I thought all this happened in Meso America??

  • @amaxamon - reread the Book of Mormon in 4th Nephi. The people covered ALL of the land both north and south.

  • @THELDSLIFE Which "land?"

  • @amaxamon - ALL of it.

4 Nephi 1:23 - And now I, Mormon, would that ye should know that the people had multiplied, insomuch that they were spread upon ALL the face of the land, and that they had become exceedingly rich, because of their prosperity in Christ.

  • @THELDSLIFE All of which land?? It's a pretty simple question.

  • @amaxamon - North, Central, South America, Isles of the Sea including but not limited to New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, Hawaii, etc... to what limit would this mean?

Now we are unaware of or unsure if they went any place else but evidence of Israel has been found as far away as China, Japan and other areas of the orient!

But what's even more exciting is the great gathering of Israel. Something that is occurring right now and it's something to be a part of or simply opt out.

    Wonder what we'll do!

  • @THELDSLIFE Ok, I just wanted to see where you stand on the geography issue. I've read a good deal of Mormon literature but I've never heard of the Great Gathering of Israel, what is that?

  • @amaxamon - we believe in the literal gathering of Israel, as foretold in the Bible... and mentioned of also by Isaiah and Ezekiel, which would come forth in the latter-days. Where the blessings of Old and Spiritual Gifts would be returned to the earth through angelic ministers. (See Revelations 14:6-7)

We believe as Latter-day Saints that we live during this epoch and time of great awakenings and prosperity.

  • @THELDSLIFE That's a beautiful belief, thank you for sharing it with me.

  • You are my witnesses,” declares the LORD, “and my servant whom I have chosen,

so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he.

Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior. Isiah 43 10-11

  • @999LDS - which is in reference to Exodus / The Ten Commandments. (See Exodus 20:3-6)

It's always convenient to the unlearned when they read scriptures out of context.

Like clay that can be molded or shaped.

"Before the Lord, there were many false Gods.

Even Joshua speaks of them: "Choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell"

    Joshua 24:15

  • How did the Book of Mormon language evolve so rapidly into non-related Indian languages? Indo-European is much older than the Book of Mormon time period, yet vestiges of Indo-European exist through all of Europe and parts of Asia. Why doesn't a linguistical relationship exist between any native American language and ancient Egyptian or Hebrew? This is flat out bogus your trying to constuct a fraudlent history from the imaganation of Smith its so clear!

  • On top of this, this video is completely deceptive regarding the Egyptian nature of the glyphs seeing as only four of the symbols used in the original collection of glyphs are 'similar' to that of Egyptian Hieroglyphics.

These are not a testament to the BoM but rather to the hunger of the American people of that time (1800's) for a knowledge of what they thought was the remanent of the house of Israel.

  • @xbryntex - this and much more continues to surface. So much evidence continues to come forward, it continues to baffle all that have no faith in the plan. The truth is that MANY ancient civilizations have traversed the waters arriving to this continent. The findings at Black Rock in Colorado; ancient burial boxes with Hebrew written inside. Much much more. Until at some point, and not too far in the future, men will deny it because that is all they have been told to do not themselves thinking.

  • @THELDSLIFE - This hasn't really baffle me in any way other than wondering why some LDS people would take this mans info without question.

There is no evidence which has been accepted by modern old world or American scholars and archeologists, who have dedicated there lives to their craft, that of ANY old world civilization had written words in stone here in America other than those who wrote in Norse before 1492.

  • @xbryntex - People aren't willing to believe in anything they're not ready to hear. You don't want to believe. That's the difference.

  • @THELDSLIFE That sounds like hand waving. I was LDS for the VAST majority of my life I WANTED to believe, but using my intellect and my spiritual awareness I came to the conclusion that the BoM is a work of plagiarism and religious agenda. My father is a High Priest and after talking with him about my concerns and conclusions he finally told me last Wed that if I loved him I wouldn't ask him questions about the BoM or Smith any more and in the end admitted to me what I had know all along ...

  • @THELDSLIFE ... that he has given up his intellectual honesty for his version of God. That's the difference between LDS apologists and archeologists - honesty.

  • Given the time line of these events and that of the Anthon Transcript, or that of the plagiarization of the writers of the BoM, is about 130 years I think it's safe to say that the glyphs were known about in the areas around Palmyra NY which is only 814 miles from the Gaspé Peninsula.

  • After reviewing the story of Father le Clercq, it is clear to me that the good Father adapted and added to a few glyphs he saw some Mi'kmaq children writing as some sort of memory aid. Given this and the fact that there are no archeological/historical uses of the glyphs before this time makes me think that they simply did not exist as a writing system before 1675.

  • I have been aware of Barry Fell's conclusions of the Micmac script, I was not aware of the simularities between it and the Book of Mormon characters. Fell did mention that the language of the Micmac is not related in anyway to Egpytian. His critics believe that missionaires taught the Micmac this script, which is absurd, the Roman alphabet is also phonetic much easier to teach and learn. Why would they teach them a script that nobody uses anymore? LIkewise for the Cree and Syrian script.

  • @charkee1 - good call and GREAT for a debate!

  • yep, yep!

  • In the case of the Book of Abraham and the Kinderhook plates he proudly published facsimiles for the world to see. Why was he ashamed of the Book of Mormon disk? Was he afraid that its publication would give something away? It is true that he did allow Harris to take it to Anthon in February 1828, but after that incident he seems to have suppressed it. (The reader will remember that Anthon later suggested that it might be an altered copy of something that had been published.)

  • The claim is made in America B.C. that the so-called hieroglyphics of the Micmac Indians are derived from Egyptian hieroglyphics. ...... It was developed by Roman Catholic missionaries inspired by the use of pictographic mnemonics among the Indians, but its principles have never been explicated in detail. . . (Biblical Archeologist, September 1978, p. 86)

  • "It is Christ Himself, not the Bible, who is the true Word of God. The Bible, read in the right spirit and with the guidance of good teachers, will bring us to Him." -C.S. Lewis [Letter (8 November 1952); published in Letters of C. S. Lewis (1966), p.247]

  • The problem is that no one has been able to authenticate those caracters, for all we know and some people think they are, they could be another Hoffman forgery.

  • @omiolo - I'm raising questions based on proving them true when the internet is FULL of trying to prove them all FALSE.

  • @THELDSLIFE prove ALL the Hoffman forgeries false?

  • I need more of this. a lot more, were can i get more

  • @bowerman939 - did you check the 'video information' section of the video. some links there that you might enjoy that help to enhance what was seen on this vid.
