@1993MovieMan The whole message of the Hellfire Club, at least in this particular movie, is that mutants are superior and shouldn't have to hide their mutations from anyone. a couple times Azazel is alone with his teammates who share this idea with him when his tail is missing. Why WOULD he hide his tail in the first place? At no point in time during this movie is he trying to blend in or do anything less than menacing.

Ofcourse , this would mean Kayla`s Native American blood would have to come from her father`s side .

@epicsilverspine99 Riptide survived to become a founding member of The Filmverse`s Brotherhood with Magneto , Mystique , Azazel , Angel Salvadore and Emma Frost so he might get a larger role with dialogue in the sequels .They probably figured a Spanish accent would sound weird in a Cold War film so they kept him silent for " First Class " .

@sewagemonster89 Azazel was not Nightcrawler's original father but was made his father because Mystique was denied fathering a child with her partner. Nightcrawler was then abandoned by both Azazel and Mystique and was adopted by random people. That is why he became a devoted German Catholic instead of taking his father or mother.

@sewagemonster89 Azazel is Nightcrawler's father and Mystique is his mother. Presumably he will be born in the next one, but separated from them later, so he grew up normal instead of all evil and shit. Also, Azazel isn't alive in the original trilogy, so he probably died before meeting his son.

@hikarikurai24587 Well nobody, I guess, but you'd think he'd still be working with Magneto or still have some connections with Mystique if he was still alive. If he was alive he would be old and feeble anyway, considering in First Class he appears to be about 10 years older than Xavier or Magneto, which would make him 80-90 by the end of the X-Men trilogy. Unless he has some anti-aging gene like Mystique, he's more than likely dead by the time an X-Men 4 would take place.

@dontsaynuthin As he is a mutant and not a demon in this movie, there is nothing to say that he's immortal. And even if Wolverine was counted in the same canon as this movie, though it isn't supposed to be, she was never called Emma Frost in Wolverine (Just Emma) and had completely different powers. Different characters. She's never referenced in the original trilogy that I know of, so I don't know where you got that idea from.

@deathwishtaco in Imdb, both characters are listed as Emma Frost and both turn into a diamond like form (she wasn't in Origins long enough to use telepathy) so the powers are the same; they're the same person.

I know Origins isn't counted with the series but still, the point is valid.

just because Azazel isn't in the first 3 movies doesn't mean he's dead; if they didn't make him immortal like in the comics it makes total sense to just say he has an anti aging gene to compensate

@MadameEscargot Um no , Kayla`s Sister was only officially called Emma Frost in her character TV Spot ( Fox confirmed the " Origins " character TV Spots were non-canon to The Films and purely for promotional purposes ) . In the Final Film , she was credited as Kayla`s Sister Emma and never explicitly identified as Emma Frost . She was an original character loosely based on Emma Frost , the " First Class " character was the genuine article .
