  • It's ok this vid but how can stretching for box splits ( also known as straddle or middle splits) help you attain a one handed handstand because ya sure u do straddle ur legs a bit but not do but that you'd really need to stretch that hard!

  • THANKS, THAT REALLY HELPED ME

  • how to do one handed handstand :stand on one hand

    you don't say

  • Anyone can do that with support

  • Wow that taught me a ton

  • thats dome

  • Hi my name is Caroline and this is katie and were here at encore gymnastics today were gonna teach you how to ___.

  • oooooh i get it. so you stretch, stretch, strech, and do a handstand with one hand. hm. sounds difficult..

  • Great video's!

  • can she do it without anyone holding her?

  • This "tutorial" is ridiculous :D

  • Lol yea. I understand stretching is important and all but really? X( I can't do that without a "spotter" how dose the stretch help you cartweel nd crap? I'm 12

  • how to do a one handed handstand:

    1: welcome

    2: stretch

    3: strech

    4: strech

5: now you can do the one handed handstand because of the strecthing

  • lol i hate this video

  • hey,Encore Gymnastics i have a great tip:stop telling us how to stretch,we all know how just tell us what to strech instead of taking 30 min. to show us how to stretch that would make your videos soooo much better :{D

  • The least she could have done was say to stretch well, then given us a link to a video about stretching.

  • @TheSkittles1054 Well then watch a video on how to stretch.

  • how to do a one handed handstand:

    1. stretch

    2. stretch

    3. stretch

    4. do a one handed handstand

  • @nollsingtschlecht stupidd

  • @96HulkSmash Well don't criticize her, sorry for being mean, but it's difficult.

  • @alexandsammy1 Its all cool, it took me 8 months to learn it well, and Im just criticizing the tutorial and kinda the coach because I felt they put very little effort into this one.

  • @96HulkSmash True, but she could be a high level. Sorry for calling you an idiot.

  • @alexandsammy1 Yeah, its all good.

  • This didnt really explain anything it just shows you how to stretch....?

  • Comment removed

  • @bryonymuch I think your comment is funny but its Oncore gymnastics not Encore :) LLOOLL

  • @LottieMJLuver09xx i apologise for my typical-English spelling, because in good ol' England that's how the educated people spell it. You know why? Because it's the right way to spell it. I'm glad you find my comment funny, i try my best.

  • This vid doesnt help us...

  • You mean how to try a 1-handed handstand with a spot. This video is misleading.

  • Your so called teaching videos arent teaching what the title says your teaching us something we already know how to do stretch we all want to learn so we go to your videos and you only say to stretch like this and stretch like that SERIOUSLY

  • I'm sorry, but this thing didnit even help me

  • wooow ...and thats how you do an air flare...oh rly? i know the theory too man...

  • They're not actually teaching you how to do it! You have to have two people to do it >_<

  • she never did one i thought that this was going to be real because i watch videos from the same people all the time and it is all very helpful.....

i think they need to learn to do the actual thing before they go making videos like this and they should keep the same channel....... they have alot of other channels with the same people and the same type of series with gymnastics and the same instructors and demonstraters

  • they dont even tell you how to do it the girl already knows how to do it

  • she acctully DOESNT do one.. the other girl is holding her up O.o

  • she shakes when she does a one handed handstand... :\ She must not be that much of a secure handstand when they went and moved it

  • I just skipped to like the last 30 seconds becuase I hate all their stretches.

  • can she not talk?

  • i do parkour and doing a handstand u dont lock your arms in a handstand you keep them slightly bent

  • @OldGameOldNews If you have the slightest bend in your arms for a handstand, not only is the shape affected negatively, but progressing to one arm or other variations is made much harder physically, the balance is made harder as one more lever has to be managed and it can be detramental to your muscles. You keep your arms locked straight

  • @artieman123 haha i never knew that it's harder. i find it easier but its probably because i'v practised it over and over any way thanks for your time

  • skip to 0:44 to stop the stretching

  • can they film the video with LESS streching?

  • i aspire to one day have a body like that...in my dreams

  • WE KNOW HOW TO STRETCH~!

  • thats a one handed handstand when someones holding u

  • You didn't even show us how it looks? So in competition a coach is aloud to hold her legs? OKAY COOL GOT IT!

  • iCant Wait To Be In Gymnastics;..!! {12 Years Old}..

  • @pureownshard.... to an extent lol

  • @ddaycr80r022 Isn't that what all trickers, bboys, and free-runners do? I mean sure, it's not completely all you. You got a community behind you. In gymnastics, that community is coaches and pros. But in bboyin, for example, you got friends, a crew. You learn with them. You don't learn from them. Another thing: you don't need money to get good at freerunning or tricking. Renting gym space and equipment? nty.

  • @pureownshard actually not all, ive had free runners come in and ask me how to do stuff. and if free running ever becomes an olympic sport or even nationally competitive, these kids you see on youtube will probably make a lot of money teaching tricking and free running.

  • @ddaycr80r022 If pencil spinning becomes an olympic sport, then there will still be people making money off it. That's not unique to these types of activities. Once money becomes involved, the sport is tarnished. Using your example, if free-running becomes an olympic sport, it will likely become a race through a set of standardized obstacles. -next post

  • @pureownshard so your point is? if free running becomes a way to make money you will all of a sudden dislike it?

  • @ddaycr80r022 In a manner of speaking, yes. It absolutely sucks that you can only become a gymnast if you're rich enough, and if money can buy skill (in any sport), then it will ruin it. When was the last time you saw some kid from a lower-class become a great? I honestly don't myself, but i'm assuming they are in the minority.

  • i agree with pk94bm

  • @xxblackskyxx "gymnasts all have the same style. theyre so strict on form."body straight, pointed toes" Yes because the body creates more efficient movement with straight legs and pointed toes. Landing skills done w/straight legs prior to landing is also SAFER.

Stuck up has nothing to do with "Gymnastics" That is a case by case thing.

"grass" LOL....ahhh have known Artistic gymnast to do double backflips and double full's on grass. Have swung Highbar on playground equipment myself

  • check out fitforafeast

they have videos on dancing, gymnastics, streching and more!

    have fun watching fitforafeast!

  • just plz someone help me and tell me where is the hand stand in this crap video

  • @xxblackskyxx What I have found to be the worst thing about gymnastics though is the complete lack of creativity. No trying new things, no spinning on anything other than the 2 axis they like, no interesting grabs or tucks, ABSOLUTE ZERO STYLE....

    Sooo annoying..

  • hahaha i hope none of u wanted to actually learn how to do this move with this tutorial hahaha

  • @BTeague2010 some of us may have wanted to but then we realised it was total crap. btw what if u cant strech eh? is there a tutorial for that???

  • that was complete crap...

    1) before you can do a one handed handstand, you need a perfect basic handstand, which takes at least 2 months. if you didnt learn to stretch in that time you are a lost cause.

    2) in gymnastics you dont enter a handstand from a cartwheel, you push up into it.

    3) that one handstand wasnt even of good technique, for full points in gymnastics you would need to close your legs, and have the balance arm pressed close to the side of the body.

    4) you do it without supports...

  • I love Katie hair!! it's so pretty! what shompoo do you use? xD

lol, really, she's awesome doing that! I can barely hold a 2 second handstand xD

  • katies hair is silky

  • That was so useless...

  • omg my lil sis can do that with no one holding her and she seven man :/ and she can stay up for ages

  • we know how to stretch. we just want to know how to do the actuall one handed handstand.

  • how does she do that

  • how tall is katie?

  • Don't be harsh to the Girl!! Some people are so harsh!!

  • why is it always THAT girl im sure theres ppl just as gd if not better

  • It looks like the little girl's hands are about to snap in two...

  • Craaaaaap. I'm right now learning it and this way is pretty useless. Before you do a one-handed handstand make sure u can hold a 2-handed pretty long. Then go to a wall and learn to hold your whole body with one hand. When you learned that as well you simply have to add the balance part with some training on flat floor. That's how im learning it.

  • Yea I watched this video for breaking not cheerleading -.-

  • @MrBboymars me too

  • using this video for breakdancing thank you very much

  • i know me 2

  • Most will do it like a normal handstand into leaning to one side, with the legs spread.

  • wow! this taught me everything on how to do a one handed handstand!

  • Can they find someone who can actually do one-handed handstand?

  • This is REALLY annoying they spend like half the video stretching......

  • haha, but I think that's what it's actually like at gymnastic lessons.

  • Probably, I do trampolining and it has took me about 3 years to be allowed to do flips. GARDEN TRAMPOLINES ROCK!!!

  • oooh no, i'm doing trampolining, I have just done back drop, is it really gonna take three years to get to a flip?

  • Nah if you're doing with nice instructors and over the age of 12 then they'll probably let you do it earlier.

  • No,it's different of everybody, for some people it may be faster :)

  • @Android18uk no absoluetly not, you could learn a 'flip' tomorrow (but youll get more respect in the trampolining and gymnastics community if you call it a somersault ;D)

    Just remember

Jump UP and somersault, rotate at the TOP of the jump

TUCK IN, the tuck gives you rotation

Use BLOCKING to take off from the trampoline (look at natcomber13's videos for what that is and ask him if you need anything)

rememebr those 3 and youll land it, videoing urself helps too cos you can see where you go wrong

  • Thank you gymshiv, and I will definetly check out natcomber's video's.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOO i was bored one day so i decided that i would like to learn a Flip. so i learnd fron- side- back flip in a day on the beach.

You can se my videos. Everything i do there iv'e thougt my self

  • That's pretty cool

  • @Jesper90 And now you belong to Airwipp :D

  • @MrKj3ll you stretch if you don't wanna hurt yourself but ye i guess:)

  • @bibalish36 I am fully aware of this, however the video is entitled "How to Do a One-Handed Handstand" NOT "How to Stretch".

  • @MrKj3ll yea i know no worries :)

  • Pause it at 1:01. That's the form right there, minus the sloppy left arm. That's about the only useful thing I found in this tutorial.

  • no... thats how you do a 1 handed handstand with someone holding your legs :)

  • @pk94bm LOLOL AHAHHA, true that :)

  • @pk94bm i truly agree with u i like the vid but i don't learn from it AT all wats the point? ya know

  • how about dont put videos up unless you can actually perform a one handed handstand....waste of time

  • China is SO right. A cartwheel has WAY to much force. Starting from a regular forward handstand position is the best for beginners. Hi5! to China.

  • Wow, i really think that you can not (!) learn a one handed handstand with this. No offense.

I mean, since when is a cartwheel known as a good startup-move for the one handed handstand. Even professionals do the regular handstand startup as far as ive seen.

Also i think a cartwheel brings way too much motion with it.

  • is thiss cartweel or not

  • lol i just did epic headplant attempting this. I couldn't come out, then my arm went. lol

  • Haha you actually tried it? Aw! I guess I've learned from trial and error to wait until I'm in a padded place, like a gymnastic gym or my trampoline if all else fails.

  • it doesnt take ages i did it last summer and it took me like 2 days...like 1 hour each day....u just have to keep trying and u'll get it

  • fail..

  • it is rockin

  • iget it

  • Here is my explanation: just use one hand and "that's the way you do a one-handed handstand". Easy, right ?

  • ya i think this video helps us kno to not go to encore gymnastics

  • Comment removed

  • the stretching takes up more than half of the video!

  • that was terrible

  • this is going to help me alot

  • that better be sarcasm

  • one of my partners breakers can help me....they are my friends though

  • Can she not do the handstand by herself?

  • if you wanna teach, the person actually should know how to hold it

  • hahahha at the end she lost her balance
