  • thanks aunty....it turned out really well :)

  • Tried it yesterday & husband loved it coz crispy arbi is his fav. :) I love the way how you explicitly illustrate the cooking method. U r a very patient & considerate woman. Thank you for saving girls like me who didn't know anything about cooking...haha!

God Bless u. Can u post some Sindhi recipes also?

  • does anyone know 4 sure if this is call taro root as seem differ from what i know????? nice recipes

  • awesome

  • This recipe is a beauty.

  • Aunty...You are THE BEST. Thanks for posting your recipe.

  • Its a wonderful dish and i really enjoy eating ARVI, we call it Arvi :).

But some people are alergic to it, especially when cutting it, after peeling, as I am. so here is a quick tip for them: either use disposable gloves or rub some oil on your hands before touching peeled arvi. Without using any of these precautions, my hands will have a terrible itch for fe hours, more severe than touching green pepers seeds.

  • wow! this looks nice and fast- and much healthier than potato. I will try it this wkend

  • Great recipe, you make every recipe look so simple and delicious.

  • Great recipe. For viewers who do not know- another name for Taro root is "EDDO". You are likely to find this in Stop n Shop

  • Manjula, you always have such great recipes! Thank you for sharing this with us.

  • Wow! I'm going to try that, too! Thanks!

  • I have never had toro roots. Thanks.

  • Ohh, so that's what those things are! I see them in the asian mart haha. Very interesting dish, thank you!

  • aunty--thanks a lot..I really enjoy your recipes. do you have any recipe with bajra flour...checking as my husband really loves Bajra flour..thanks in advance.

  • I'd like to try that! I've never seen taro root in my area.

  • Looks so appetizing!! Thx Manjula.

  • Ive never had taro root before; Im not even sure it is available in my local grocery store, but Im going to look.

  • I love love arbi..but sometimes my throat itch....some arbis are itchy....

  • @shinenshimmer

    you're probably allergic to them...

  • @shinenshimmer Raw taro root has calcium oxalate crystals in it; these are toxic and cause irritation. You've got to cook them thoroughly to get rid of the toxin.

  • I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. I am just very curious and its a strange question...but why do you use such a tiny knife for cutting?

  • Delicious!
