Did Paul Brendle always get dressed up like that to fly? ;-) He was definitely one of a kind -- morning traffic isn't quite the same without him. He died in 2002 and had worked for KIRO radio until 1997. It seems like Joel Block replaced him on the TV side a lot earlier.
Clark Stahl is the pilot of Chopper 7 -- he's worked for them since 1982. Yes, Chopper 7 has done some traffic reports over the years.
Paul Brendle and Joel Block piloted the KIRO radio traffic airplane and also gave traffic reports on the TV side during the morning news. Obviously, these were audio only, so a map of traffic incidents would be on-screen or simply a picture of the pilot. Once WSDOT set up their traffic cameras, they would use that video as well.

I thought it was Clark Stahl. Stahl has worked with channel 7 doing traffic reports for a long time now.
