i loved the comcept of a secuel and the trailers maked this movie look awesome , saddly a poor story and character development ruined all. idk what they where thinking, eaven a 4 star actor like bale looked like a b class movie actor on the movie thanks to the horrible character that mg did on john connor
@FeelingFeline 3 was garbage, but Salvation wasn't all that bad, I actually thought it was a lot of fun, but if 3's got to go down then Salvation has to go down with it.
Here is something I don't understand from this trailer that they didn't put in the movie. In the trailer Connor says "Skynet is taking human prisoners. They're replicating human tissue, for the T-800. If we let those things go online. Then this war is over."
Why did they take that out? It would make sense how the Terminators made skin for the infiltrators.
@Ferom79 Same here but I liked it. They need get rid of generic characters though like the one who came out in this movie as the friendly robot, he is just so damn bland. Isn't he the one from the remake of Clash of the Titans? Now that is a movie that sucked, the original was way better.
terminator salvation was a shame compared to the others. i just hope this isnt the start of a downward spiral towards complete shit in a series. im pissed they cast Christian Bale as John Conner, and i hope they can atleast get james cameron to direct the 5h one, he did great on the first two.

T4 is all atmosphere and no substance, even T3 had substance and Connor there was a protagonist with a dillema, more like an anti hero. in T4 there is no emotional gravity, and while it was exiting it never got deep. T3 had it REALLY wrong with the tone of the enemy terminator, but it was actually really REALLY dark. the whole concept of getting people from normal society to accept that judgement day is inevitable is actually very bold, and the ending to T3 was quit powerful. T4 was kinda..meh

The problem with this movie is that it's PG-13. That was a fucking stupid decision. It's AVP all over again. Take a true to series R trilogy into some crappy PG-13 movie that holds back. Needs.More.Violence. Needs.More.CHAOS!
@ankan127 T5 doesn't exist. there's only four movies. it looks like the next film is going to be called Terminator 3000 and it will be the first movie of an animated reboot of the franchise. look it up for yourself. i guess due to lawsuits and possible bankruptcy the live action sequel has been definitely canceled.

the only thing i really hate about t4 is the fact that the machines are so unstoppable... it's like, you unload a whole M60 on one of those things and it's still alive... you even blow the hell out of that giant terminator and he walks through unharmed... it really makes it hopeless for the resistance.
#2 was the best, in my opinion. #1 was one of the best stepping stones in history. #3 was a bit disconnected, but it was a good movie, just not as good. #4 its finally in the future! story had the same prob as #3, but it was better that #3

Non-sense history: why the FUCK the machines use Kyle Reese to kill John Connor instead of just killing Reese? I mean,he WAS the most wanted. And BTW,ANOTHER fight scene in a factory?
Bad acting: Cristian Bale just shouts the whole movie,and Sam Worthington is even worse than he was in Clash of the Titans.
Poor character development: FUCK, I rather see the pussy Connor than this prick Connor. Really, even in T3 I cared for Connor. Not here.
No history whatosever: At the beggining we hear about a virus that could shut Skynet down,but they forget about this,then we meet Marcus(that doesn't much besides being a douche and try to fuck that Blair chick, and making us think what was the point of the character and in the end he was there to...kill John Connor,really creative),and in the end,the movie comes down to John saving Kyle.
Better than Terminator 3, that movie sucked ass. And john connor was a pussy in it, I mean come on, he aint a washed up druggie who seems to have paranoia, hes supposed to be the future leader of the human race against the last fight of Man vs Machine. This portrays the vision that was set in T1 and Terminator 2, an epic battle with insane futuristic CGI effects, so this does a good job, it's always been about arnie, but this puts John connor in the spotlight and arnie isn't fit anymore.

You ever sit through a movie and say to yourself or even out loud, "why don't you just do.......{this or that} ?!"
Case in point. I just watched this movie on HBO and I said to my wife and son, "If the machines know of Kyle Reese's significance to their future...then why didn't the machines just put a bullet in his head when they captured him ?" If they killed Reese then he couldn't have gone back in time and fathered John Connor. End of their problems but not the script.
this movie was not bad...Though to me it was the 1 Terminator movie that was most like a filler. The Arnold part was lame though...if he's going to make that short of an appearance he might as well not be in...
I love terminator, and so as this film. i love this next to T2. Been watching this, 3 x this weekend, and i was doing like a marathon of Termonator from 1 to 4 now. I think the one that i like the least would be terminator 3. and i have to agree w/ the critics...Sam worthington is the best thing in this film. Thoug i also like Christian Bale, but i think Sam W owns this film and LOL, & completely overshadowed Bale.
I really liked this movie, despite what others may say. What I really didn't like however, was how Marcus dies at the end. I like him. Sam Worthington is a good actor- Though he could've used a bit more character development. The war also could've been shown in a little greater detail. Other than that, I quite enjoyed the movie.

It was an enjoyable movie, but it didn't really live up to the hype that T1 and T2 created. T3 was also a decent movie, but wasn't really in that top-class that T1 and T2 were in. Kind of like Call of Duty. 1 and 2 were like...Extraordinary. 3 wasn't horrible, but it was meh compared to the first two.

@5613n8 Watch T1 & T2. This was just as bad as T3. James Cameron is the only person that can direct a true Terminator movie. This was just a watered down pile of shit that tried to cash in on the Terminator franchise. Terminator is suppose to be graphic, rip your heart out (T1) shit. What we got is a rushed weak movie that killed the Terminator movies completely. Thats why.
@GAMEBOY379 I don't think Terminator Salvation sucked, I was disappointed that it didn't live up to the flashbacks from T1 and T2 and I think nobody can do better then James Cameron but I still think it was good. But I don't think it's a big deal for a PG-13 movie in an R rated franchise. And FYI, Terminator 3 sucked more then Salvation, even with Schwarzenegger (try spelling that).
I've watched a film with such a big plot hole in it. Marcus Wright was created to find and lure John Connor to Skynet. But he met Blair Williams by pure accident. Great programming there Marcus NOT. And they had Kyle Reese in a cell. 1 bullet and John Connor never existed. No 1 on the kill list and they just keep him aside in cell so they can kill Connor instead. Bollocks.

Better than Terminator 3, that movie sucked ass. And john connor was a pussy in it, I mean come on, he aint a washed up druggie who seems to have paranoia, hes supposed to be the future leader of the human race against the last fight of Man vs Machine. This portrays the vision that was set in T1 and Terminator 2, an epic battle with insane futuristic CGI effects, so this does a good job, it's always been about arnie, but this puts John connor in the spotlight and arnie isn't fit anymore.

only have one question why in the flash backs of terminator 1984 we see that the war against the machines was fought with lasers not bullets i mean i remember everybody using laser weapons what happend to them ?

You ever sit through a movie and say to yourself or even out loud, "why don't you just do.......{this or that} ?!"
Case in point. I just watched this movie on HBO and I said to my wife and son, "If the machines know of Kyle Reese's significance to their future...then why didn't the machines just put a bullet in his head when they captured him ?" If they killed Reese then he couldn't have gone back in time and fathered John Connor. End of their problems but not the script.

I love terminator, and so as this film. i love this next to T2. Been watching this, 3 x this weekend, and i was doing like a marathon of Termonator from 1 to 4 now. I think the one that i like the least would be terminator 3. and i have to agree w/ the critics...Sam worthington is the best thing in this film. Thoug i also like Christian Bale, but i think Sam W owns this film and LOL, & completely overshadowed Bale.

I really liked this movie, despite what others may say. What I really didn't like however, was how Marcus dies at the end. I like him. Sam Worthington is a good actor- Though he could've used a bit more character development. The war also could've been shown in a little greater detail. Other than that, I quite enjoyed the movie.

It was an enjoyable movie, but it didn't really live up to the hype that T1 and T2 created. T3 was also a decent movie, but wasn't really in that top-class that T1 and T2 were in. Kind of like Call of Duty. 1 and 2 were like...Extraordinary. 3 wasn't horrible, but it was meh compared to the first two.

@5613n8 Watch T1 & T2. This was just as bad as T3. James Cameron is the only person that can direct a true Terminator movie. This was just a watered down pile of shit that tried to cash in on the Terminator franchise. Terminator is suppose to be graphic, rip your heart out (T1) shit. What we got is a rushed weak movie that killed the Terminator movies completely. Thats why.

@GAMEBOY379 I don't think Terminator Salvation sucked, I was disappointed that it didn't live up to the flashbacks from T1 and T2 and I think nobody can do better then James Cameron but I still think it was good. But I don't think it's a big deal for a PG-13 movie in an R rated franchise. And FYI, Terminator 3 sucked more then Salvation, even with Schwarzenegger (try spelling that).

I've watched a film with such a big plot hole in it. Marcus Wright was created to find and lure John Connor to Skynet. But he met Blair Williams by pure accident. Great programming there Marcus NOT. And they had Kyle Reese in a cell. 1 bullet and John Connor never existed. No 1 on the kill list and they just keep him aside in cell so they can kill Connor instead. Bollocks.
