  • Your Video Seventy-five years ago, a shoot-out with John Dillinger and "Baby Face" Nelson in the woods of Wisconsin went horribly wrong Is Very Useful Sharing

  • We ! HA

  • his confederates? what was the mobster also a klansman?

  • Dillinger is an example of what can happen when a person id mistreated and abused. He was treated like crap, locked away in prison on a raw deal. When he got out, he decided that he wasn't going to live in poverty, and be bullied by asshole cops, so he fought back. He died young for his efforts, but he died like a man, proud with his head held high. He probably lived more in his 30 years than most do in 80.

  • Funny. The FBI thinks they are the heroes. John Dillinger was awesome. When he was arrested, crowds gathered around to visit him and cheer him on. He really didn't do anything than steal from the corrupt banks that robbed everyone else. In fact, Dillinger himself never killed anyone and was never found guilty on false claims that he shot a police officer... So Dillinger was actually the good guy... murdered from behind by Purvis the fuck up (unarmed, the FBI planted the pistol...)

  • Dude needs to buy shirts with wider neck dimensions.

  • Sorry, JEH

  • Whatever happened to ole Mel P? Oh yeah, removed in disgrace by a jealous JEP.

  • Eliot Ness did not commit suicide-he died of a massive heart attact!!

  • that place has lots of taxidermied animals lol

  • near maonaqua dumby

  • I hate the man who is talking in this video with all my heart. Mostly because he said "we" when describing this situation. He should at least have the decency to say "they" since he wasn’t there to witness such an epic battle, and should have more respect for Dillinger and Nelson. How dare him try and include himself in that part of history! Dillinger and Nelson were ten times harder than any FBI agent that has ever lived. I guess he is just like any other pig. He makes me sick!

  • Why did both MelvinPurvis and Elliot Ness both commit suicide?

  • @debthebob Purvis was dying of cancer.

  • @CarlaLR74 Thanks Carla, I didn't know that. It just seemed odd that both of these big so called crime fighters committed suicide.

  • WE imeadeatly (i forget how to spell it ) began to rally our forces by 6:00 OUR agents arrived thios guy needs to get laid

  • Uh, he says 'we' because he's an FBI special agent - they consider all Bureau agents part of the Bureau even after death, so in referring to actions and decisions made by the Bureau, any good agent would say 'we' even in reference to past events. Make sense?

  • Comment removed

  • @boredwithennui He wasn’t there, he wasn’t a part of that battle. I think that a Vietnam vet would be an asshole if he said "we" when describing the battle of Omaha Beach. Nothing against our U.S. soldiers by the way… I am just sure that there aren’t any Vietnam veterans that are like that. I at least know that I wouldn’t include myself in the First Battle of Saigon whether I were a Marine or not. This man in this video is scum, and you are scum if you don’t agree with me.

  • Little Bohemia was recently sold and buyer was the bank that was holding the note.

  • John D is my hero.

  • What's with the "We" shit, this clown makes it sound like he was there. Agree, historical accuracy would be a plus when they do a movie.

  • nervous purvis lol

  • This guy is a company man

  • I think he's just using the term "we' because he is currently part of the FBI, and its a continuing institution. No need for name calling.

  • we? We? you weren't even alive back then and to say oh they came out in a threatining manner in the same sentence as they were presumed drunk yet We opened fire on innocent civilians...asshole

  • LOL I thought the same thing........... Who's "We"? I'd also like to add that since he spoke of learning lessons in planning "raids" during this time period, I believe they also got to enhance/practice their skills at cover-up with regard to Dillinger's "death". :P

  • little bohemia is right next to my house

  • I like the way this guy keeps saying WE, he wasnt even born back then!

  • i know right he,s acting like he was around back then how he tells the story lol

  • @salemandsooty : The Word We is a common term. When I speak of World War II Battles, I use the term we kicked butt, etc. I wasn't there, but we (The United States Marines Were There)... I believe this is what the man is saying....

  • That place is really nice... I've been there...

  • Agreed. Ive been there too, quite a few times actually (Ive got a cabin in Boulder Junction).

  • is the shootout in any movie? im pretty sure it's going to be in public enemies, but is it any previous movie on dillenger?

  • dillinger with warren oats 1975 i think

  • Both Dillinger and Public Enemies has the shootout but neither portrayal is remotely accurate.

  • the whole movie public enemies wasn't remotely accurate. but thanks aways

  • Public Enemies certainly has a number of egregious historical errors, but compared to the Milius film, which has over a dozen FBI agents getting shot down at Little Bohemia, Pretty Boy Floyd as a member of Dillinger's gang, and Melvin Purvis as a super-G-Man who personally kills every gangster in America, it's a documentary.

  • no its not, in 'Public Enemies' at little bohemia all the dillinger gang got killed exept dillinger, & even baby face nelson wasn't killed like that, if i'm not mistaken the agents that shot baby face nelson multiple times were killed by him & he died later. But i liked the movie tho, only i would prefere it historical accurate.

  • did the FBI learn not to shoot when they are unsure whether the person is a felon or not?

Is this video being used to justify harsher raid tactics?

  • I would love to hear the FBI's perspective on the new Dillinger biopic starring Johnny Depp. I anticipate this film highly -- looks great -- but I bet there is an untold story only the FBI knows about.

I encourage the FBI to comment on this film when it is released.
