I oil my hair alteast 2 times a week or i add a little bit of oil since it gets a little frezy.

winter is best since its very dry and would split better. Just do half of your hair, there are different instructions you can do.

You could use Jojoba (pronounce hohoba), coconut oil, pure olive oil, and other oils BUT not canola, not good stuff. There are many vids about the use of the oils. It also helps with acne prone skin, tricks the skin to stop making sebum, so thus clearer skin :)
