complete newbie, sorry for asking such a silly question but i can slice the image fine but when i copy the html codes from dreamweaver and put them online the images wont come up, the outline does but not the image. where am i going wrong? i know its somthing simple
just one question, when i slice my layout in photoshop and import it to dreamweaver, it creates a lots of tables and when i add a bigger content in the body section, layout gets messedup, navigation bar, header and footer starts moving up and down, is there any way how not to create tables, coz photoshop creates auto tables??
Its becuase yall need to set the border to 0. Down in the properties panel there is a little border thing with a black next to it were you input a number.. put 0
The best thing to do is when u export for web and devices save images only (no html). The next step is to create the divs within dreamweaver like container and separate elements such as columns (if your design has them) and add the slices in where appropriate and position the using css
i cant believe i forgot how to do this

Don't use tables - it's not for design! Use DIV!
bjarkeml 2 years ago 30
lol tables is html and DIV is css. so not thesame there m8..
nezirovski 2 years ago
@bjarkeml No its better to use tables in this case.
But if you save individual components and codes the CSS yourself, then its ok to use DIV.
prathik728 1 year ago
@prathik728 and why exactly it is better to use tables here?
pahel 1 year ago
@pahel cos the div tags are based on X and Y axis, this might cause problems in future browsers.

if you know html just notice where it's moving firstly, and set another properties to tables step by step.
