It goes both ways. The truth is... if someone is not really into you... you will feel it. Go for nothing less than someone who adores you. A wandering eye is just as much of a turn-off as insecurity is. When a woman has to ask a guy to be faithful or act faithful, it's evident she's already with someone who either isn't really into her, or someone incapable of a real relationship (-; Men should not have to be told to be faithful so if they're not acting that way, give them the boot. Simple.
in my last relationship, my boyfriend was extremely insecure and demanding to me... so the typical male-female roles were reversed. It was so hard for me that he was always demanding more stability in the relationship... it made me want to get away, and be free.
You know, there are just a bunch of idiots out there. Who gives a big rats ass if they are insecure? You can't change anyone. They need to change themselves. That's what life is about. Learning to love yourself, BEFORE you can love anyone else. Learning to take care of yourself, BEFORE you can take care of someone else.
But, if they want to give a phd, (Piled Higher and Deeper) money, with the hopes of being wonderfully transformed by magic, that's fine with me.
I've recognized patterns in significant others that try to "over function" as an attempt to show me thier best selves, but when people forget that if someone recognizes a quality in you then you, it happens in their own time. And often it seems that the quality they truly appreciate isn't the thing that they've been driving at you. It's typically some X factor that just comes so natural to you that it doesn't come off rehearsed or not genuine. Great post!
