The U.S. pulled out of Vietnam b/c they could not sustains heavy casaulties and spending billion of dollars with very unpopular support from the American ppl. Bad guess. If the US was as powerful as they claimed back then, they wouldn't find it problematic to whipe out the entire Vietnamese army in a week. Instead, they returned to the good old WWII era, by bombing civilian targets and killing millions. It's quite easier to kill an unarmed person or bomb a village without air defense, isn't it ? Whatever we say, the US got their asses kicked back then. I think 1,800 aircraft shot down and 60,000 corpses from the US side clearly confirm that.
