I had this game was a I was much younger..i couldn't get past level, I kept gettign lost haha!
I'm also trying to track down another old game for the Amstrad CPC, from what I can remember it was two little characters (sure they were dogs) who went from room to room solving puzzles, you could swap who you controled at anytime, stand on each other etc..but for the life of me I cant remember the title..I'm sure it was the name of the cute characters...
@mickjagerbaby jesus christ memories... HEAD OVER HEELS... used to play that with my brother... one on keyboard, one on joystick.... I had the OCEAN PACK with ARMY MOVES, HEAD OVER HEELS, WIZBALL, FREDDY HARDEST, YIE AR KUNG FU, GREEN BERET... DAMN those were the days.. u must have been young.... I'm 33 this year and got my CPC464 when I was 10 in 1987.. from DIXONS in MOORGATE, LONDON near where I work today :) The store is STILL THERE - now CURRYS :)
@madmira My bad before because not all the games were Ocean games but MY GOD the compilation was MIRACULOUSLY GOOD - game after game a hit. The pack was named DIXONS TOP 20 HITS and was as follows: TAPE 1 Yie Ar Kung Fu Yir Ar Kung Fu 2 Phantom Club Arkanoid TAPE 2 Army Moves Batman the Movie Head Over Heels Baseball Green Beret Slapfight TAPE 3 Freddy Hardest Game Over Basket Master Legend Of Kage Tape 4 Tai-Pan Wizball Magmax Madballs Tank Stunning memories I have of all these gems :)
@b1ueocean thank you so much i have couldnt remember Yie ar kung fu for love or money. Im 30 years old now but this pack was amazing for its time. Im going to go to my parents and see if i can dig it out of the attic as i have the amstrad and monitor still in working order, thanks again !!

What a good memories!!!! The melody was terrific, they should make an electro remix of it, the problem was when there was a loading error after waitting for 30mins for the game to load :D
quite possibly the first videogame i ever loved, target renegade and my old amstrad are probably responsible for every game and console i have owned since ...
I threw my highschool buddy out of my house because of this game lol. With a tiny bit of health left and no lives, he accidently twatted me with a baseball bat and I died. I lost it and told him to GTFO lol
Aye, it was worth the ten minute wait to load though. It was always quite satisfying kneeling over your enemies and giving the good old one two knuckle sandwich.
me also in renegade i have been just to fight the first boss after i have never passed the second boss a kind of bodybuilder with a white shirt ,was it the same boss you have never fighted?, sebastien 32 years (france)
This game was brilliant in its day. Still is very good, except 4 da graphics of coarse. I hated the fact that it took a half hour to load up from the tape cassettes.
Best 8bit title ever imo. Great music, hilarious fun with the weapons, and when you got bored you could beat your partner up! The closest we ever got to the legendary Double Dragon.
It's predecessor had far better graphics but lousy gameplay - too easy.
If they had taken the graphics from the first and made the difficulty match the arcade Renegade aka Kunio Kun, the game would have been a classic. I bought the game for a tenner and completed it in a day :(
This video was created for remember this classic game, if you think that you can do a superplay video for target renegade, feel free to do it...this is not the objective of this video. thanks
I also did some CPC video captures for youtube but i didn't manage to sync video+audio (as you can see in my latest videos). What programs do you use for getting them ok?
Have you got a video of the original Renagade's music on the CPC at all? Thats the music I remember most. Still got it stuck in my head and i've not played the game for nigh on 20 years!!!
What a great idea what you've done here. My favourite Amstrad game was the adventure game 'The Wild Bunch'. I had Renegade and loved the music. Thanks for sharing that.

c64 music was better but i still love this sound
BRAKESUK80 2 years ago
The c64 had better sprites and nicer music but the CPC version had much bigger levels, more moves and more tunes. I wonder why that was.
c64 also had the roving eyeballs at the bottom of the screen that bulged out when you got kicked in the goolies.
