  • Comcast Ondemand is 1000 times better than Dish/Directtv. You have to plug your box to an internet connection to get their ondemand and you have to wait for it to download before you can watch it. I love my Comcast Ondemand!

  • It happens here to. What bugs me is finding movies in the free section that cost money, tricking the viewer. More $ to con-cast. So close to switching over to a different provider.

  • you guys are stupid. i work for comcast and its not due to bad software or comcast sucking. they probably just had some dumb tech incorrectly do his job. this happens all the time and if youre someone who takes pride in his job you go through all the little things to fix this. i guarentee it was something dumb like due to recessed fittings.

  • Wow, your's takes a lot longer to load than mine. My system pauses when scrolling as well, but not as bad as yours. Maybe it could be that the box does not have the proper hardware to sustain the software?

  • This is actually the signs of an old black cable box. there slow to respond. There the dct 2000 model that shows the time and channel on the front. swap the box out. no fix call em.

  • lol yeah the system sucks, as a matter of fact i happen to work in comcast vide repair and a meta-6 means loos of connectivity from the server to the dct, needs hit and if that dhes now work it needs a ticket that takes 48hrs. we do the bay and central area of california.

  • This isn't their system that is flawed, You my friend have a what we call Bandwidth problem. You got to call a tech out so that they can amp your signal out side from the pole. hope this helped. =]

  • Wow it seems as though we have a bunch of techs who like blowing Comcast on here. I just got rid of their shitty service due to this exact same problem. Some are right, it is from splitters and bad cabling, which is what the Comcast techs installed in my brand new home. When I got rid of their service, the Uverse tech had to rewire my entire home and everything works great now. LONG LIVE UVERSE, Fuck Comcast!!

  • ur a fucking idiot. your prob the type that put in your own lines and shitty splitters that not compatible. its giving you a meta-6 error which could be your upstream or downstream signal strength. that is why it is slow. its having trouble communicating with the vod servers. get a tech out there or fix it yourself since you seem so smart.

  • You're the fucking idiot. It's CABLE. It's not like it's communicating with a satellite where there can be LNB interference from weather.

    With cable everything should be instantaneous. It's just Comcast's poor implementation for information retrieval. Firmware is everything when it comes to speed. If the damn thing can't handle the information appropriately than it will pause and possibly crash (as seen here).

    Signal strength would have nothing to do with the box crashing.

  • I *H A T E* the comcast digital firmware. It is slower than hell. Turning channels takes forever. You can't filter out channels that you don't subscribe to. Their 'on demand' has the same crappy movies that have been on for the last year. They are WAY over priced.

    Where is the innovation? Comcast is a suckish monopoly and I hate them more and more every day. Your video shows one aspect of this.
