Looks to me like this poor kitty has had her tail glued or otherwise attached to her face as she seems to be trying to get it loose more than once [with a front paw] while she struggles to climb the stairs. Definitely cruel and in very poor taste!

I'm impressed with the steadiness of the shot. The portrait orientation leads me to believe it was shot on a handheld cellphone camera, but it remains pretty smooth when the camera moves in and follows the cat up the stairs. Good hands!
