not all resources are available to everyone. How do get an ID? you don't just toss 25 dollars over and then BAM an ID. No, you need a birth certificate, valid proof of identification, social security number, and 3 more things that prove you are you. You need an ID to get a job the address part would be the only easy part...
well said... and for many homeless persons they are homeless...they dont have a mailing adress, and while they can get one, that is also a process... sometimes people just need shelter, sometimes they need a little more, I was at Nickeslville, I am a Marine Corps Veteran and was homeless, no help from the VA... sometimes people just need a hand up....
No phone? Union Gospel / Bread of Life all have phones for use. No transportation? They all got two feet. Work clothes? They all seemed to be hauling lumber around dressed just fine; and clothing is donated to all the local shelters (the one at the USCG pier is exceptional). No money for i.d.? WA has a waiver for that as well; they just need to fill it out and can have it mailed to the shelter at the 2nd Ave Extension. They have resources, they just need to get off their butts.
if you have the breath to tell this on youtube (remember they don't have internet access) then go and help them like so many people are. You are not very wise.
yea, with a 10.2% unemployment rate... hopefully you arent looking for a job right now, because there a 6 employees to every one job right now... I was at Nickelsville, I work with the homeless, and if you had any idea what you were talking about you would not make such proposterous staments...

If they can spend all day boarding up their tents, they can spend all day looking for work.
