I got one today in the black for £200 and mine does not have the earphone jack, I'm not complaining it's probably the best coat I've ever had!

Is the trim color on the black "yellowish" or is it still the greyish tint? The 2011 black McMurdo I just got has a grey trim and has no headphone outlet either!

@qluuuuuuuulp Thanks for stopping by, the jacket should come with a headphone exit, we are still waiting for our stock however so assume you got it elsewhere - if so, best to check with the shop you bought it from.

I was trying to pick between this jacket and the gotham. Which one is more of a mainstream jacket? ideally i want a fashionable, fitted jacket, but i like the extra length on these jackets. Any comment would be helpful.

@tib10boi It has to be the Mcmurdo then, the Gotham is the shorter out of the two jackets although both look great IMHO.

Out of interest, when did you review this? I bought a McMurdo parka a couple of weeks back from Cotswold Outdoor near Exeter and while everything else is exactly as you've reviewed it here, there's no media slot on the inside pocket for your headphone cable. Have they dispensed with this for the 2011 model?

@Jarnesque Thanks for your comment, the honest answer is we are unsure, ours have it and the North Face site lists a media pocket so am unsure. Certainly a handy little feature in our opinion.
