@mindygrahamkrauth I had a Doxie that did the exact same thing. It came on when she was about a year old. It was scary at first, but once we knew what it was, it was kinda funny. My baby lived to be 13, even with this problem, so don't worry too much. I am sure your Lucy will be just fine.

I own/love 2 daschunds and am pretty sure the doggie in this video is a VERY happy animal. It's not like he's missing any important meetings or likely to reach speeds above 2.5 mph or anything. He's fine. He just looks like he's been sniped about 8 times a day.

it's not like that at all. cancer in dogs can get very very painful, and sometimes you can tell how much pain a dog in cancer is in. narcolepsy is not painful, not really too dangerous (maybe in the wild, but not under supervision) it would be confusing more than anything to the dog. also is a neurological disorder not a disease (huge difference).

I have a daschund pekingese mix who is borderline narcoleptic. She kinda falls down in the middle of doing something else for a few seconds, but doesn't acutally sleep, and then gets right back up like nothing happened.

I'm probably the BIGGEST dog lover in the world but I felt so ashamed when I laughed at that poor baby suddenly just DROP. I'm very unfamiliar with the sleeping disorder, narcolepsy, so I can't pretend I understand anything about it. I hope that sweet angel has good loving care.
