The Akita show i went to made it very clear that breeder's are supposed to screen the potential Akita

Buyer's with a fine tooth comb. And They said that they should take the Akita Back to the seller if they can not care for the Dog in nothing but the best of care.

what Happened to that quality control?

It is easy to make a video to show any point you want to make. I am not defending the final situation but I do know some of the people involved and they ALL love dogs.

I personally adopted two dogs from here a few years before the seizure.

This was a tragic thing that happened, but please don't be too quick to hate the people involved.

All the dogs at this shelter found homes and none were destroyed.

I just lost my best friend this Sunday. Aja. We had her for 13 years.

She grew up with us with 2 kids now 13 and 9. She was a gentle soul. Our best friend. If you own a Akita you have to train them and treat them with respect. They will be the best friend you will ever have. Please be kind to them and loving. We will always love her. Our Girl Aja. age 13.

the akita is a superior breed, i have 2 now, and just lost my big boy this spring to lymphosarcoma. i miss him terribly, and when i see pictures like this i could seriously hurt someone for what they do to this magnificent breed. god will judge you in due time, and before that, we will condemn you.

Its sick the way they treat dogs in that kind of way they should never be allowed near animals ever again. I am hoping in the near future to get an Akita i've seen a few myself and noticed how loyal and caring they are towards there owners:D Ohwell good day to u all

We just lost our dear akita, Nikko, to cancer at the tender age of 5 yrs. We're heart-broken, yet determined to get another, and seeing that just makes me so sad and angry, especially as I know that akitas are just about the sweetest, most loving dogs you can live with.

I'd be willing to be that the majority of those poor animals were purchased from "puppy mills", because all the reputable breeders we're in contact with seem to be extremely diligent about the people they sell to.

akitas are some of the best dogs ever how can someone do this to this gorgeous breed they bring so much luv into our world dogs are amazing i just wanna hurt those bastards who this to dogs so bad those poor animals :(

Akitas are great dogs. I am on number two. Do not buy one unless u know how to handle a big dog. If you know what ur doing they are the best and sweetest.

Akita's aren't good dogs for most people; i wish people would stop getting dogs like Malamutes and Akitas because they look more like wolves or whatever. Asiatic breeds are powerful and generally independent, I would trust a Pitbull before a Chow or Akita. Not typically good dogs for the casual pet owner.

Ive had pits, I now have a 2year old akita. the most loyal and gentle, needs a dedicated owner, who knows how to handle dogs. not just an idiot who says how cute! they must be treated with respect. "casual pet owner"? if you raise it as a junkyard dog thats what you'll get.

Damn, how I hate people that treat dogs so bad!!! Not only dogs, but dogs are my fav kid of pets... damn I wish all these people that do this kinda thing to doggies may go through the same themselves! And I loooove akitas! Great breed!!!!
