I think all of the musicians here deserve a thumbs up. I don't think many people realize that John really doesn't play a much bigger part than any other in his bands. It's what makes him a true musician, since music is all about communication! He plays with some of the best musicians today, but he has definately earned it!

@pumukellll This was an added butterfly into the mix, its a James Taylor mixed with a Roy Clark, Butterfly picking is the oldest and fastest style of picking, derived from the 1300's and droped as a guitar tech for banjo tech, it is however verry simple to learn! You will hear alot in any bluegrass!

@TheKevinProject John Mayer does actually use autotune. Look in the related videos to this and you will see his statement about it. His voice sounds good live nowadays but he used to struggle to keep it steady when he was a lot younger.

@JuliaMuehlbauer I think he's playing a Martin 000 series, which are smaller guitars indeed. Probably to give a softer sound, the bigger dreadnoughts and jumbo acoustics give bright, powerful sound, I guess he wanted warmer, softer feel. Giggity!
