Where are your sources for the declining membership, and the idea that our pastors are being told to preach Ellen White alone? I'm actually interested in this information and would appreciate legitimate sources.
Nearly everything you are taught about prophecy comes from the mouth of ellen white. All your prophecy seminars, etc, are the teachings of her. The meetings shared on saturday are from pastors who are looking at the bible through her eyes and teachings.

I am Adventist, but I am SO PROUD TO BE A CHRISTIAN and a CHILD OF GOD! I don't have a problem with ELLEN. I do have a problem with people having opioins and not reading their word. I don't read Ellen. I read God's word, and it keeps me right where I am. I will keep God's sabbath, I will trust Him, I will wait for His return. I will tell others about His love. What I care most about is the freedom God gave me by dying on the cross! If people decide to leave that is between them and God!

They both represent different aspects of the atonement provided in Jesus christ. The one represented how he would pay the penalty for sin, and the other represented how he would take our sin in his own body, and remove them from us, and provide atonement for them.
The two goats represented what would happen as Jesus provided atonement for us. Satan played no part in it.
That represented the removal of the sin from the people because the price had been paid and it allowed the sins of the people to be forgotten or removed. Remember this verse:
Psa 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
The three duties of the scapegoat was 1. atonement 2. take sins in own body 3. remove sins
Jesus provided atonement, Jesus took our sins in his own body, and he came to remove our sins.
The wilderness was the best way to show the people their sins had been removed. If you go into the wilderness or desert, you could look north, south, east and west, and not see anything. It`s to show us how far they are removed from us and that they can never find their way back because they are gone, dealt with.
Its like how you hear that our sins are thrown into the deepest sea. Not only did Jesus pay our price, he removed them from us.

Whether you realize it or not Ellen White is they base for your religion. Every major doctrine of the SDA comes from the writings of EW. that's the thing, not because you made a video about something with unfounded facts makes it right. And let me clear up my tone because you might think I'm being sarcastic. SDA's don't worship E.G. White. There're off shoots from the SDA movement that outwardly claim to be SDA but they're not. There's a few offshoots that believe thus says E.G White but not SDA. Whether EGW was a prophet or not, the Fact is that the Protestant Church's are being governed by the Catholic Church. This refers Governing Powers like the Vatican and not the people. Most of the other countries have already signed off on giving full religious authority to "Rome", and the US is not far behind. This will lead to political power.

Maybe the pastor that shared them with u used or quoted EGW a lot. Some pastors have methods that could be misunderstood. Honestly there are a lot of debatable doctrines (music, etc.) in SDA. Some take EGW seriously (like food). Some don't. There have been offshoots too because of this EGW & Bible thing. But personally, I'm just happy with the SDA lifestyle. The way we celebrate the WHOLE day Sabbath & the healthy lifestyle. Debates tells us we are spiritually hungry & THAT'S WHAT COUNTS.

I am a former Adventist, was raised in the school and church. I left because I couldn't accept EGW and her interpretation of scripture. I was told that I wouldn't find a church that supports my "crazy" ideas. Well I have. They are Catholic bashers and they preach against everything thinking the law will save them. The Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath, the point is taking the time to remember God not some arcane day, building the relationship matters not Ellen White's rules.

I would suggest that the present numbers in the SDA membership are padded. I understand many more have left but their names are still on the church list of members.
I know that the church I attend shows a membership of about 425 but I have never seen 425 people there and I have been there for about 10 years now. So I suggest their membership is way lower than what they report.
Amen brother; the 7th-day Adventist religion needs to reform & get rid of Ellen G. White's writings/books and their other false doctrines like the Investgative Judgment, Sunday worship = Mark of the Beast, Food laws, Jesus is Michael the Archangel, etc.

@sugabear2010g What I implied about that statement is that Satan was serious as well but he was wrong. As Paul pointed out in Romans one can have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge. Whether you realize it or not Ellen White is they base for your religion. Every major doctrine of the SDA comes from the writings of EW. In the SDA if you disagree with her interpretation you are gone. Just ask Des Ford and others who disagreed with EW. I hope you investigate this for yourself.

I think people are confusing the fruits of the spirit with the works of the law. The fruits of the Spirit are:
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
These are the fruits that are evident in the life of a believer because of the Spirit being present in their life.

that's the thing, not because you made a video about something with unfounded facts makes it right. And let me clear up my tone because you might think I'm being sarcastic. SDA's don't worship E.G. White. There're off shoots from the SDA movement that outwardly claim to be SDA but they're not. There's a few offshoots that believe thus says E.G White but not SDA. Research it my brother in Christ. Not all who claim to be SDA are and then they confuse inquiring minds.

This comment is to Celtusguy's comment. Everyone needs to understand what churches are under the Protestant church "label" first of all. Whether EGW was a prophet or not, the Fact is that the Protestant Church's are being governed by the Catholic Church. This refers Governing Powers like the Vatican and not the people. Most of the other countries have already signed off on giving full religious authority to "Rome", and the US is not far behind. This will lead to political power.

Maybe the pastor that shared them with u used or quoted EGW a lot. Some pastors have methods that could be misunderstood. Honestly there are a lot of debatable doctrines (music, etc.) in SDA. Some take EGW seriously (like food). Some don't. There have been offshoots too because of this EGW & Bible thing. But personally, I'm just happy with the SDA lifestyle. The way we celebrate the WHOLE day Sabbath & the healthy lifestyle. Debates tells us we are spiritually hungry & THAT'S WHAT COUNTS.

I am a former Adventist, was raised in the school and church. I left because I couldn't accept EGW and her interpretation of scripture. I was told that I wouldn't find a church that supports my "crazy" ideas. Well I have. They are Catholic bashers and they preach against everything thinking the law will save them. The Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath, the point is taking the time to remember God not some arcane day, building the relationship matters not Ellen White's rules.

these works which she leaves are suggestions, and comments, some are visions, and prayers, but most of them are suggestions. For example how to takecare of health, school, families.
Secondly, if someone told you to teach something that you don't agree with would you do it? Pastor nor teachers would do that. plus it seems like you have not been in any of our universities lately. Teachers avoid the topic of EGWhite.

You apparently have not visited an SDA college or church in a long time. I know many of their pastors, almost none of them care for or even follow Ellen White. Their schools hardly read her.
If SDA's followed Ellen White they would reject psychology, their hospitals would use more naturopathic modalities, their people would proclaim that old protestant doctrine that the church of Rome is the Antichrist, and that evangelicals are the daughters of Babylon. They don't do this.

Perhaps you have not been to SDA church or attended their institutions in the last 25 years. If you did you would know that most SDA's who work in their Seminary and man their pulpits have total apathy toward Ellen White.
If they followed Ellen White their hospitals would reject psychology, their people would reject vaccines, they would preach loudly how the church of Rome is antichrist, and how protestants today are babylon. Mainstream SDA's do none of those things.

I know that the church I attend shows a membership of about 425 but I have never seen 425 people there and I have been there for about 10 years now. So I suggest their membership is way lower than what they report.

Amen brother; the 7th-day Adventist religion needs to reform & get rid of Ellen G. White's writings/books and their other false doctrines like the Investgative Judgment, Sunday worship = Mark of the Beast, Food laws, Jesus is Michael the Archangel, etc.
They need to repent, turn to Jesus, pray prayerfully & stick what the bible says only.
