@Boredforver There are 3 rides. Mators Junkyard Jamboree (a musical spinning like ride), Luigi's Roaming Tires (A remake of the old space ride) and Radiator Springs Racers (Above)

This is deffinatly AT LEAST going to be the same speed as Test Track, if not more. Test Track is the old system. This ride actually uses a new and better version of the Test Track ride system, so it is DEFIANTLY going at lest the same speed of Test Track, if not more!

Cars was one of my favorite movies. The new Cars Land is set in Radiator Springs from the original Cars movie (most of Cars 2 wasn't set in Radiator Springs, it was mostly set in other places. It only begins and ends in Radiator Springs)

@coasterfanatic100 First of all its the same company lol. Second, Imagineers dont "rip off anything." They build a ride in DL or DW or the other DL parks international. Imagineers then try to learn from the mistakes they made in the first ride and the second ride is usually better. For instance the little mermaid ride, they're learning the mistakes they made in the DL ride, and they will fix them in the DW ride.

I rather thing that this Cars Ride will make up for the loss of the Rocket Rods. You see, they couldn't put the high banked turns on the older and shorter peoplemover track so the Rocket Rods just could not match up to what Test Track is.

I liked the old people mover ride, I think that should be re-made to look like TRON.

@darktigerian Yes but they aren't upgrading the track. Test Track will still have the same old ride system. They are just adding new futuristic looking cars called "Sim Cars" and they are updating the Que. Nothing will be changed on the actually ride part.

@coasterfanatic100 that was rude, and most certainly NOT true, Walt built DL first..... but, since DL was too small and he wanted to add more on he found some land in WDW and made replica's of things that he made in DL, you are right DL did build most of the rides that are at WDW, but that doesn't mean we're "ripping off" DL.

Its important to note that initially, Walt had no interest in building a MK park in Florida, his big idea for Florida was EPCOT. He felt that there should only be one Disneyland and he didn't want to repeat himself, but the board of directors were skeptical and wanted a sure-fire hit, so they did not give him permission to start EPCOT until he agreed to built MK first.

@DisMupPix010 true.... but he also wanted to build another DL, but bigger and he didn't have enough space in Cali. so he found bigger land in FL, I've never been to DL so I don't know how good the park is... and me wanting to be a face character myself at DL or WDW makes me more interested in the process of how the park was made... :)

Well, the Imagineers went on a research trip on Route 66 to help inspire them for the land. There WILL be Route 66 touches in the land.

And quite frankly, Walt Disney himself was no stranger to synergy. He loved to showcase his characters in Disneyland; like Davey Crockett and Zorro.

And the Babes in Toyland sets were on display in the Main Street Opera House for a while to promote the film.

I've heard something similar, though I think there will be a few more details than what they have said so far. There will also be a scene depicting something that was never seen in the film.

The important thing is that this will be a highly detailed land that fits for Disney California Adventure, because its themed to Route 66 and is suppose to be a tribute to Route 66. And it will no doubt be popular.

Bigger doesn't *NECESSARILY* mean better. Its not absolute one way or the other.

WDW is bigger, but that does not necessarily make it better. I happen to like Disneyland better, for a number or reasons.

If it's anything like Test Track @ Epcot (which it is) the top speed of the ride should be around 65 mph. This will make it the fastest ride @ the Disneyland Resort, even faster than the take off on California Screamin.' I can't wait to ride this ride.

I'm not sure about the speed, but I do know that it will definitely be a fast ride for the most part. Although there may be some parts near the beginning where the car moves slowly.

This is the right half of the Radiator Springs Racers track. When you watch the playback, look for the support pylons being constructed on the left.

2012 seems like a long time away, but RSR is just one element in a whole new land.

Well, this is more than just Test Track. This is the 3rd gen of the ride system and will be two tracks side by side. The outdoor segment of the ride will be a race between two vehicles side by side through the desert and rocks.
