  • O Karatê é 10

  • All martial artists should show each other respect. we're all family. Osu!

  • I have the DVD this comes from. Really great to own.

  • I have noticed some karate practitioners have shown interest in learning taekwondo, as I sometimes found myself amazed at the efficiency of the techniques of karate. Mature fighters show respect about other styles of fighting

  • can you defend your self with these, or you get you ass kick

  • I love it when a TKD does high kicks, gives me a clear shot at a strike or kick to thier balls or a iron broom sweep kick to thier support leg. Low Line kicking is the most effective kicking. THAT SAID.... i have osu for old school TKD for they know how to street fight. Fujian White Crane Gung Fu, Judo, Shotokan, Aikido and Goju Ryu are a part of Kyokushin and should be given much Osu by the followers of Kyokushin for they are the arts GM Oyama studied before he created Kyokushin.

  • Someone should seriously disable commenting on all martial art related videos... all of it just descends into bashing each other...

  • at the last part it looks like the ball that ryu from street fighter shoots . is that real ?

  • kyokushin have a lots of grab maybe it's juste becaus you dont understant de kata the way I've learn them but my sensei insit that we understant every part and if you take them mouvement by mouvement you can see that their are realy somme nice grab and self defence technique that can be use

  • @MarkosGormax and alot of people don't know how to figth on the street so any martial arts can be usefor self defence

  • @MarkosGormax yup i agree i once used tkd and karate at the same time and it works

  • @MarkosGormax i think they are both unique .

  • The kata - is kata. It used for kata. I'm newbie to karate, but noticed katas is like ABC for karatekas and try too keep them in right way. Katas good for movement sequence, concentation , mind training. I love katas.

  • @dandare26 You'll discover that kata is much more than just sequence of defensive and offensive moves. They're your kihon, your basics, your power. If you lack power in your kata, forget kumite. If you're poor at kihon, forget performing kata well. It is good for all the things you named, but above all you're practicing kyokushin's basic moves; they must become instinct, whether you're being attacked on the street, or asked to name the movement by your sensei.

  • Is this the kata thats used mostly for competitions? or am i wrong.

  • love this kata!!!!!!!!

  • @takeshimiyagi its cool but i cant do that yet cos i'm not at that level :(

  • geskisai sho is very nice and deep kata

  • @jeridi007 its way more cool than pinan sono :)

  • Now in Kyokushin some short-time grabs are allowed, as well as punching in the face. But only in the street. Every Sensei is preparing his students for survival fight or else he sux, lol.

  • @DeymanPL

agree, every good teacher should teach that to his students. 2bad the dojo i currenly train in doesnt teach that and i do agree it sux

its only focussed on tournament fighting -___-

  • What kyu kata is it 2 or 1 ? or dan

  • NOW FOR 1º KYU BROWN

  • @L3AnTaZ dude hes a black belt .. hes obviously a dan .. what are you talking about ?

  • garyu it s my favourite kata and seipai

  • this is my favorite kata.. i learned it with my yellow belt

  • I've just learned it 2 weeks ago. Looks good.

  • des anyone take goju ryu karate????

  • very good

  • in tea kwon-do itsa called buki, in kyokushin- ibuki. and TKD is not for fighting in streets- the best is kyokiushin- guy "who punched bulls to death" is Matsutasu Oyama- he learned martial arts and created from the most effective from techniques karate kyokushin. Thats why its effective, more than another martial arts.

  • lol u seriously think thers such thing as a best martial arts? im just curious how much experience in martial arts u have. except for kyokushin, have u ever been to a different one? cause tkd is street fight, the police forces use it in korea...just sayin

  • No, there isn't anything like best martial art. but there is best mrtial fight in street fight. And now I don't practice Kyokushin, but still I think, It's much more effective in street fight, than other martial arts. But more effective is krav maga :) Oh, and tokitsu ryu is better in the street fight. I just forgot about it:)

  • okay, then its all different

and i also agree with u, all styles of karate are suitable for self defense, cause thats what they are made for

however to say thers one most effective...not sure. but yh krav maga is some hardcore no holds barred shit man, its the most brutal art ive seen ever to be honest

btw what is tokitsu ryu? a karate style?

what do u think about other karate styles and about judo and other self defense GRAPPLING.

  • U can learn krav maga fast. Tokitsu ryu needs sooo much time. Karate- there's one big problem-no defence against grappling. That's why it sucks. U've got only one chance- stay atmid distance with ur enemy,. Then maybe you will win. Judo- When u get close, you can win. BUT it's pretty close to krav maga, but have much more techniques, I think some of them are just too complicated, and generally- more complicated move= less effective. Grappling- nice, but only if combined with other technique.

  • dude

u said kyokushin is the best for the street in ur very first comment, but neither does kyokushin have any grappling

and just because an art doesnt have grappling with submissions, it doesnt suck and u can still defend urself of course

kickboxing, muay thai, most karate styles, boxing are all pure standup. throws are emphasized too, as far as shotokan, not too much, but leg sweeps work very well.

btoh combined make a compelte fighter, but neither "sucks"

  • I said kyokushin is better in street fights than other martial arts! Kickboxing, muay thai, most karate styles- they SUCKS IN STREET FIGHT!!! C'mon, any guy, which knows krav maga will easy win with that guys. Muay thai- ok, you are using your legs, knees, elbows... BUT you don't know how to fight, when your enemy get you down and fight starts to be on the ground. Then NO CHANCES to win by muay thai guy. Box- same AND krav maga has got some moves to grap your enemy, when he stands.

  • u my friend have no clue about martial arts

shotokan, what i practise, has a focus on footwork, punches and elbows, which are designed for a street fight. im not sure about kickboxing or boxing, but muay thai too is a good self defense art. it has clinches, which is a form of grappling

btw u say kyokushin is better in street fight...kyokushin has less grappling than shotokan, muay thai and others..it is pure standup. u contradict urself my friend

  • Kyokushinkai was founded by a guy who punched bulls to death. American Tae Kwon Do is founded as a sport form. HOWEVER - DO NOT DIS TAE KWON DO. True Tae Kwon Do from Korea is actually very powerful and deadly.

The weird raspy breathing is "Buki" - which is for power and strength.

However, a good martial artist can beat a not-so-good martial artist, no matter the style.

  • tkd sucks Go do all your fancy kicks and get owned in the streets. And that breathing thing is a way of building up ki which tkd doesnt have since its all fancy and shit. Go watch some gay tkd videos on youtube...Watch them get owned asshole.

  • why ar eu getting worked up? and what tkd school have u been 2? My school does the iron body and energy breathing excercises

  • @OkamiOkiba You've should at least show some respect to other styles, since not of all TKD practicioners are restricted only to what is learned in the dojo.

  • @Ticlano i agree . i'm a kyokushin fighter and i'm also exposed to shotokan karate as some of my friends learn it and taught me .

  • @Ticlano sorry, but in tae kwon do its called a dojang

  • @OkamiOkiba there's no best martial art in the world . its the martial artist who makes it strong not the martial art . pls have respect to other styles . every fighting style is unique in they're own way
