I watched the entire series before making this comment: I've always wondered what went into these types of surgeries. I know of a few people who have done it themselves, but I never fully understood it until now. Thanks for sharing this experience with us =)
I had a few wet eyes watching. I was there in Sept 04. I guess you rode the train almost free being an Amtrak employee The first thing I did getting back in the room when every one had left was lift the covers to see why there was still a lump down there. It was the ice pack! What a relief and I fell back asleep in a peaceful mode.
MaryRae...it was so nice to share some of your experience here, but ever so much nicer to be able to share several days with yourself, sister and niece in person. I actually cried seeing the shot you took, looking out of the train to see Joyce left standing on the platform as you pulled away. She and Becky stopped by the hospital on their way out of town this afternoon...Life is truly a series of journies. May all of yours be happy! Jenni
