@imrkha1 Why don't you research on Kalarippayattu. It is one of the oldest if not oldest systematized and organized martial art in the world. It has even had its influence in Shaolin Boxing...Now, Shaolin Kung Fu and Kung Fu in general developed Wing Chun which was the first martial arts Mr. Bruce Lee started with and mastered. The same way Muslims thank Jewish Abraham for their line of prophets, we thank must thank Mother India for her hand in Martial Arts.

Not only strategy, tactics and weaponry usage was known but also hand-to-hand combat. I have a documentary that proves the events of Mahabharat and that they took place in 3102 BC also. Indonesia's national emblem is of a bird, Garuda, which is the mythological bird of Vishnu. It has even had its influence in Shaolin Boxing...Now, Shaolin Kung Fu and Kung Fu in general developed Wing Chun which was the first martial arts Mr. Bruce Lee started with and mastered. The same way Muslims thank Jewish Abraham for their line of prophets, we thank must thank Mother India for her hand in Martial Arts.

Even Jiu-Jitsu finds it roots in India where monks used to practice self-defense without the use of weapons. @Inspirer The fact Buddhism exists so widely in China is another testament to the influence Indian culture has had in China. I am aware that there are differences between Tibetan and Chinese Buddhism but can't you see the common word in those denominations?:

The same way there is difference between Catholicism, Baptism ,Lutheranism, Orthodox etc etc; the core foundation of Jesus Christ I'm sure is echoed in all these sects?

Unlike China, which once was influenced greatly by Buddhism (internally it still is), has now been taken over by Maoists who persecute religious people in Tibet. Yes, India did influence the world in many areas, obviously not everything. The language we are speaking now, English, was derived from Sanskrit :)

@veracuiz Well, you are right in a way but you can't not forget the influence Vedas and Hindu mythology has had in the subcontinent. Indonesia's national emblem is of a bird, Garuda, which is the mythological bird of Vishnu. Bali, Malaysia, Bhutan etc all have Hindu elements which have peacefully melted in with indigenous culture of those areas - best being Bali I can cite as an example. Of course Buddhism remains influential but even Buddha was a student of Vedas and we salute him also.

India IMO wont rise to become a superpower I say this because by the time it achieves adequate reforms the size of your workforce will be irrelevant with the current pace of robotics it is estimated by 2030-3035 a robot will be capable of doing the majority of manual labour with equal ability to humans, So a nation with a high population/land ratio will be weaker than the likes of Canada/Russia/US/Australia power will be linked to resources per capita
