People with dark skin are descended from places where there is lots of intense sun and hot temperatures. People with light skin are descended from places with less sun and colder temperatures.

The article said that most cases of skin cancer in black people are not diagnosed until the cancer reaches an advanced stage, which means that it is much harder to cure. One of my black friends got skin cancer in his early 40s. Everyone should pay close attention to any suspicious growths or lesions in their skin and get them checked by a dermatologist immediately.
