  • Watched this movie back in the 90's , luv it

  • 2:31 - DUCK, YOU IDIOT. You hear bullets in the world of Golgo 13?

GET DOWN SO MUCH THAT IT LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE FUCKING THE GROUND.

  • BOOM!! Headshot!

  • The women with Mueller are probably thinking "Crap now I won't get paid".

  • GAT THA FUCKER NAO!!!

  • I liked how Mike Reynolds was the voice of Bob Braigan. Reynold's voice is instantly reconizable. He's everywhere.

  • @MDthornton83

He was also in Ghost in The Shell and Wicked City

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yes. And he was also Cheif Tanaka from the 1993 8-Man OVA. And he's done plenty of other voices as well.

  • @MDthornton83

He also played the buck toothed president Nazu in the re-dub of Akira. How old were you when you saw this movie? i was 14 and it blew me away, i knew i had to buy a copy of it at one of my local malls and i did.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yes. I am aware that there are two different dubs of the anime classic Akira. The Streamline dub, and the Pioneer dub. I didn't see "The Professional" until I was 17. And I thought it was awesome for such an obscure anime film. As for Akira, I didn't see that movie until I was 13 back in 1996. And it blew me away. Akira is a timeless classic. I have both movies on DVD.

  • @MDthornton83

In the original Akira dub, were you surprised by Cam Clarke's voice as Keneda? and were you too thinking "Holy shit he sounds like Leonardo from Ninja Turtles"? i did.

  • @Johnlindsey289 I noticed that two. When I first saw the Streamline dub (the original dub) I was like "Hey! That's Leonardo from TMNT!" And I also noticed a huge difference in the pronouciation of his name. In the Streamline dub, Kaneda's name was pronounced as "Ka-nay-da". In the Pioneer dub, he was voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch. AKA Vash the Stempede, Ichigo, and among others.

  • Dubed anime always ruins the experience.

  • Impossible! What the FUCK is he aiming at?!

  • this is a work of art made for MEN.

  • This anime is like impossible to find to buy on DVD. The new Golgo 13 series is really good animation wise, but it lacks the psychedellic, brian depalma inspired noir of the original OAV. Brian de Palma + James Bond = The Professional; Golgo 13

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 Should be easy to find on amazon

  • 2:11

and that is why Jew-bitches love Golgo 13.

  • golgo 13 is a fucking classic. the animation is superb for something that was made in 83', and the ENG dub is fucking amazing much better than what funimation could ever do.

  • @2dfFaggot So true. The animation from this movie looks like its way ahead of its time, and the English dubbing is pretty good compared to the God aweful dubs that plague other anime.

  • @MDthornton Ahead of its time? It is as stylish and cool and well done as can be, but it's hardly ahead of its time. I suppose the embarrassing CGI bit could accurately be described that way, but that's due to it looking HORRENDOUS and totally out of place. Being ahead of your time can be a very bad thing when it involves technical advancements or experimentation

  • @DingusStudley Well, the CGI in this movie is a joke compared to what we have today. In fact, it looks like what was used during the N64 and PS1 era. But I can clearly say that the hand drawn animation definitely looks ahead of its time. And I mean that in the good way. Because back in the 80s, you'd hardly EVER come across anything this detailed and sophisticated. There are a few exceptions. But that's what made this movie so special.

  • @MDthornton83 The only times you'd see good animation quality was in something with a budget worth a damn, aka an OVA or a movie. Anime series back then regularly ran for 30+ episodes. OVAs had very few episodes so all that money was put to better use. Movies? It was to die for, compared to what an animator has to deal with when doing a TV show.

  • @MDthornton83 Additionally, really important episodes in a TV show where the budget was accordingly allocated. IE, Macross's big, apocalyptic battle or the first episode of most shows.

  • jets nigga were havent we been yet? currensy flying iron to this anime

  • @thagod5 JETS FOO

  • @Laserbyte oh this is nothing; in the brand new series which came out in 2008 I believe, he kills a target by bouncing a bullet off water.

  • Jason Bourne would so be fucked.....

  • I want the music!

  • silly Americans...they cut everything. In the original Japanese movie you can see the women fondling and rubbing against each other, and here they even censor that bitch's nips lol

  • @Ubermann88HH Not in my copy they don't,and guess where I bought it.

  • @Ubermann88HH Kinda funny that the japs until recently censored genetalia in porn(unless it's animated of course). Truly a bizarre culture

  • Whoa when was this made? Is there like different versions or something? I'm guessing that this is the original series. Then there was a remake?

  • @smithler7

This is a movie. The manga came out in the late 60's. Any guess why Duke looks like Spock.

  • Golgo 13 is known to have a 99,7% hit rate (a gun once jammed on the job).

  • ......wow. That is fucking amazing. Dude is...HOW did he know!? Just HOW!?!?

  • @FinalGamerJames

    Looked through the windows.

  • Fuck yeah, driving off in a TURBO... squaremobile (?) at the end

  • the nintendo game is the shit!!!

  • I said it before, and I say it now; Golgo 13 is a modern Samurai.

He is a Samurai, totally dedicated to warfare, and his "Katana" is his moded M-16.

  • Shooting a man in the head who just jumped off a building in attempted suicide just to make sure you are the one that killed him? That makes you the most badass mofo on the planet. The manga is even better than the films, too bad they are too short to make a true movie.

  • It would be impossible to train someone like Golgo 13 in real life; to be that good, he would have to have fired 10,000 rounds a day, nearly every day, since the age of 4, in addition to 3 hours of martial arts, and 2 hours of hard military cals plus muscle integration excercises, followed by 2 hours of meditation for focus in ADDITION, to running military style obstacle courses for 3 hours. That is 15 hours of intensive training, over a period of just over 20 years.

  • Yeah really, he also speaks a dozen langauges, which would take decades of constant education and not to mention some kind of regiment to practice ALL of those languages with native speakers to stay in practice.

  • @pillsburydoughboy47

...statistically. And yet, people do the impossible.

  • a real sniper would not let his rifle "hang" over the ledge like that.

he could be spotted; risk is small that high up but a risk is still a risk.

  • Aahhaha pause at 1:07. Thats awesome! Eye literally attached to the scope.

  • Seriously though, I know jack shit about guns, but the number one rule about sniping people from buildings is you don't point the damn gun out the window with barrel sticking out.

  • He uses a mental reverse tactic. See, he knows everyone sees the barrel but theyre like "oh look theres a rifle barrel sticking out the window!.. but that cannot be Golgo13, he aint that dumb. Thats propably just a kid with a toy up there".

  • how the hell does he snipe with an m16

  • Mister Agent 47 WINS. End of discusion.

  • Golgo 13 have Magic Bullets or waht :D

  • a moded M-16, actually, higher caliber bullets than normal; Golgo 13's M-16 has the range of a high power sniper rifle, and a slightly faster firing rate than a normal M-16.

    From a military standpoing "she's a beauty."

  • I'm not a military guy though; I hate guns.

  • !! w-whoah. 0.0

I never knew Golgo 13 was an anime.

I just thought it was a cheap ass nintendo game.

    This looks (and sounds) incredible!

0:09 is what sealed the deal for me.

    also 0:33-0:42 LOLLLLLLLLLL!!!

  • @PlusPlusPlus05

The commercials for the NES game used animations of Golgo 13.

  • I love this anime(movie); does anyone know of others like it?

  • The only anime I can think of

that might be a little like this is Cowboy Bebop.

They both have that gritty, dark-colored look.

    But then again,

I don't know much about anime, sir. :P

  • Try Golgo 13-Queen Bee, it's kinda short but still good.

  • try, crying freeman. it another assasin anime.

  • @AvEryBadApPLe Crying Freeman AKA Flying Semen

  • i love the way his car moves throughout the chase. Laws of physics be damned

  • I never thought I'd hear "fuck" in a professional dub.

Anyway, I wish anime was still this dark and cool. Nowadays it's a bunch of metrosexual men and oversaturated colors.

  • +1

I think, well... maybe hope, that this is just a fad that'll wear off eventually. I mean, we can see the same pusspattern in in fashion and people these days.

  • preach it man

stuff like saiyuki, bleach, and naruto are laundry lists of everything that is bad and wrong with anime these days :/

where the fuck is crying freeman

  • @topraman517 you're watching too much Shounen; Golgo 13 is Seinen (for older audiences).

  • @topraman517 stay away from the shonen shit. Anime is divided in age category you know. If you want more mature stuff look for the seinen category.

  • Once again, a fine example of how slow tech support is.

  • get the fucker now!!!!!!! GODDDAMED HILARIOUS

  • LOL at JESUS H CHRIST WHAT IS HE DOING THERE

    and

    GET THE FUCKER NOW

  • It's a damn movie...you can do anything in a movie....why do people get so anal retentive with the that's an impossible shot...the impossible is what you want to see.......thus why the secret agent genre loves James 007 Bond, Jason Bourne,

  • No wonder he got caught, a real sniper never sticks out his rifle. Nice shooting though :D

  • haha, it's an M16 he can't really work around the whole sticking it out thing.

  • He's driving a Renault right?!?!

  • "Man this isnt billards come on now"!

    -Shadowknight-

  • It's funny how the guys with binoculars didn't do anything to try to stop Golgo

  • I love this movie, but this has to be one of the most absurd shots ever.

  • a gap is a gap buddy; I've used weird gaps to shoot characters in GTA IV, or Resident Evil 4. When shooting things, a gaps a gap man...if a bullet will get through, shoot there. I don't think there is anything absurd about this shot; looks like good sniping to me.

  • He shoots through five panes of glass. Shooting in video games is also significantly different to real life. You can't just aim at something and expect the bullet to maintain a straight line.

  • sure you can if its close enough. also though, Golgo 13's M-16 is modified; his gun is designed to fire at greater distances, in it it has some sort of hydraulics or pressure system that makes the bullets travel farther, faster, and straighter than normal rifles. THE RIFLE IS MODIFIED SO HE COULD DO THAT IS WHAT I'M SAYING GEESH!

  • hydraulics or pressure system?

you don't know anything about real guns do you

  • well, isn't it possible to make the bullet fly faster or something?

  • what's absurd is not being able to see the target but instinctively

  • There is a Golgo 13 story called "Wasteland" where he makes a shot at something he can't see. He has a huge scope, it's not too big a stretch to imagine he saw the target, it's just strange he'd turn around in time for the bullet to hit him square in the head.

  • Quicksilver1111: The Japanese are known for taking absurd ideas in their popular media and making them work.

  • not denying that, but the story this is based on (Action 4/24) from Takao Saito has him firing several rounds carefully from 700m hitting ONE pane of bullet-proof glass. I wouldn't mind so much if they didn't exaggerate a possible scenario into an impossible one.

  • I hope 4-kids does this anime soom!

  • 2:38, The honeymoon is over.

  • at 2:11 golgo 13 used iron lungs 4 that shotr lol cod4

  • LOOOOOL!

  • funny stuff. I can see maybe a match .50BMG POSSIBLY making that shot, the 223 would have been deflected all to hell and gone lol

  • Actually more like BRM (Basic Rifle Marksmanship). It's a military tactic to prevent seeing your own breath in cold climates.

  • lolz i knoe why you like it you sicko :P jk i liked the shot :)

  • Yeah, that shot was the truth.

  • Guns first! Grenades later! It's kinda like the finale! KILL THOSE GAY BASTARDS GOLGO13! GO! GO! GO! HAHAHA!

  • Wanted is based on a comic.

  • Yes that is true. But the American comics (Watchmen, The Dark Knight Returns or Wanted always "borrow" from the classic Japan-mation; that predates them all.

  • xD the police man screams GET THAT FUCKER NOW! :) Go Golgo

  • Golgo 13 for the NES was one of my favorite NES games. Because of that, I rented this. I was not dissapointed. A very dark tale with a twist at the end.

  • I only knew this as a NES game from years ago (it was good) cool anime

  • this anime actually helped my GTA IV performance; it inspired me to look for any gaps I could shoot through to get to a given target. Example; say, Niko's on a mission, and the asshole is taking cover behind a car. You can a) blind fire b) pull macho rambo shit or c) shoot through the windows. Sometimes you can see the enemies behind the car door windows. Using the sniper rifle you can shoot right through to them.

  • guess that goes for all people who post on youtube dumbass.

  • I suppose that is the reason video game tips youtube vids exist huh?

and if YOU have a life what the fuck are YOU doing on youtube you dumbfuck?

  • Golgo 13 is an inspiration for everyone.

Also, after watching this I pulled off some Golgo 13 stuff in MGS3 and 4, sniping people with the M16/M4.

  • Isn't that third one incredibly obvious?

  • well if you look at the sceans where golgo 13 loads his rifle the bullets always seem to big bigger then a 5.56 so its much more logical that duke being a sniper and all that he would modify his m16 to fire a larger round more suddiply for snipeing like the 308.

  • suddiply? I think you mean suitable. Jesus fucking christ...

  • This scene is pure win. Golgo 13 is badass. :)

  • Total agree with you here...one of my favorite animes for sure...pure classic

  • ROFL i love that unsuppressed, yet 'silenced' sounding, m16 going through all those objects without affecting the bullet's trajectory, especially if they're sub-sonic, low penetrating, short range rounds like ALL SUBSONIC AMMUNITION USED FOR SUPPRESSED FIREARMS.

  • This is such a cool scene, and the essence of Golgo 13... finding creative solutions to difficult obstacles ;]

  • this is no doubt the best scene in the film, closely followed by the mind tripping car chase with 70's disco lights and music....too fucking cool....the scene after that when golgo calmly walks down the highway ramp while blowing the army away to sexy saxophone jazz makes like laugh with pure enjoyment coss of how fucking awesomw it is...

not only my favourite anime this is one of my favourite ever movies

  • dubbed versions of japanese animes are ridiculous

  • Uh, this isn't dubbed bad, really. This is a lot better than shit around in present day, and mid 90s.

  • Better than Crying Freeman. As good as 'Vampire Hunter D' and 'Ninja Scroll'. And this is my favorite scene.

  • Haxxor!!!! Aimbot + Recoil Hax

  • get the fucker now!!!!!!!! ;)

  • How did he do it? HE'S GOLGO 13! In anime that's basically all you need to know.

  • HOLY SHITE!!!! Nice Acurracy!

  • Pretty good sniping there, considering he's using a scoped M16...

  • Correction. A modified scoped m16.

  • Correction: A cartoon M16

  • Correction. Shut up.

  • Correction LOL

  • Duke Togo is so badass! He shot THROUGH a building at a target in another building. HOLY SHIT HE'S GOOD!

  • hes more than good hes GREAT lol the thing that impresses me most about golgo 13 is that he only loads one bullet in the magazine and he leaves himself no room for error, one bullet, one limp lifeless body with a hole in the head lol!

  • Golgo 13 always beats the odds, LOL. He's so awesome that he'd shoot through anohter building to kill his target.

  • Computer One was using some awfully hardcore technology. Golgo is such a badass.

    "...."

  • I guess an M16A1 could be used as a sniper rifle. It's got the right precision and a decent enough caliber, and Golgo has his M16 modified with electric precision. It's got a muzzle velocity of 3260 feet per second. It also sorta spins the bullet virtically to ensure some good use of stopping power. So I suppose even an expert on guns can see it shooting through five building windows, I can especially see it too.

  • STOPPING POWAH!!

  • oh shi-

accuracy of a sniper rifle amirite?

  • I think Takao Saito just likes the look of the M16. Don't see how it would be a great sniper rifle. Golgo's doesn't have a particularly long barrel, just a giant scope. Golgo didn't use an M16 for his "Impossible Hit" from Room 909.

  • well it would make a little more sense if golgo 13s m16 was re chambered for a 7.62x51

  • Do you think he did? 'Cause I could be wrong you know.

  • @6581R4: Actually, M-16s make excellent sniper rifles. Though not the most powerful, its certainly reliable and practical enough for a range of about a hundred yards or so.

And much props for even being aware of the "Impossible Hit". I happen to have that issue.

  • This is my FAVORITE scene from this movie! I'd like to see this done in a live action version of this classic!

  • Glad you liked it. I think there is a live action golgo 13 movie made back in the day and i think it starred sonny chiba. never seen it but id like to lol.

  • Yeah. He doesn't look anything like Duke Togo, but you have to give him props for trying. The Kowloon Conspiracy was a waste of time, unfortunately. It had a good story and the potential to be a great flick. They just didn't know what they were doing back then.

  • damn! mine doesn't seem to want to work.

  • Sniped

  • Wow. I haven't seen the English version of this movie in a while now.
