The "sabers" used in the movies were generally lightweight aluminum rods (or carbon fiber rods in the EP I, II & III), & didn't have any "real life" lighting effects. Some prototyping of something called "scotchlite" was attempted for EP IV--which was not used.
All this being said... LED sabers don't generally "compare" to graphical effects. They are also FAR more cumbersome (relatively) to waving around lightweight rods.
Granted, the LED props you see... are getting *better*.. MUCH better!
Thanks... and ooohhhh, there's LOTS more where that came from! :) That one was back in 2005/2006... there's a lot more of what I've been doing in my other vids... ya just gotta look for 'em. :)
Thanks so much for all you do for the Lightsaber community. I'm finally done with the Hyper/Lux saber comparison stuff so I'm going to dig into the content on that CD and check it all out!
I subscribed. As soon as I've raised the bread and gained the experience, I will buy those CD's and build a saber, guaranteed.

@hadomaru1121 Fantastic! Thanks for the support.
There are great tutorials on FX-Sabers if you wish to learn more. Also, for parts to build your own saber, there is thecustomsabershop.

1. First 10 copies have been sold and personalized.
2. CD is 700mb, not 750mb!!! So, what was I thinking?! lol... I had to remove the 2 bonus vids, but these are on youtube anyhow.
3. A 20th sound font was added, which is MadCow's "Heirloom" font! Special thanks to him for helping to get that one on there!
For those who have ordered... CDs should be on their way in the mail this week... :)
THANKS!

The rock version of the Indiana Jones theme (originally by John Williams) was done by a French gent named Sylvain Cloux.
I further "tweaked" and re-mixed the music a bit, but yeah, check out his stuff, it's awesome! :)
