  • when you said that few people know about this trilogy you didn't realy bother to find out that this and the oter evil dead movies are one of the most popular horror movies of all time....FAIL!

  • 5:27 "And Boom!" I kept playing that part over and over. I have no clue why...

  • the camera work and low budget cleverness is a staple in the horror genre

  • the first evil dead is definitely better

  • Love EVERY REVIEW you have made, and i love this one too! Even tough you made alot of mistakes in the review, intentional or not :p

    ZARDOZ

  • I wish they didn't try to remake the first one in this. I loved the first movie, but the second is too funny, its not horror.

  • Great review. But if you're not a fan of the three stooges you won't like most of the humor and slapstick.

  • harley davidson lol

  • If you've seen it you probably love it - this says it all.

  • Ed eats the redneck's grrlfriend's hair, not Annie's. Jake is the redneck and Bobbi Jo is his grrlfriend. Annie is the daughter of Professor Knowby and the grrlfriend of Ed who is also Professor Knowby's associate professor.

  • Sam Raimi took some cues from Hitchcock AND The Three Stooges. Now THAT is a winning combo!

    \8-D

Have you seen Crimewave? It was a colab between the Super Raimi Bros. and the Super Coen Bros. Raimi divorced his name from the movie but I don't see why. It's really not bad. In fact, it's better than bad. It's GREAT!

  • this movie fucking rules. the first one was more gruesome but this movie is more entertaining and also the story continues with army of darkness.

  • love these reviews! Personally, Evil Dead 2 is my favourite horror film joint with 28 Days Later.

  • The moral of the story would be to cut your losses.

  • lol, this film sure has it's share of gay assed fanboys

  • this film is one of the greatest ever made

  • @drplbiftin

the first "Evil Dead" was better BY FAR

  • @Alevamltd I disagree. I think they're both utterly awesome in their own ways.

  • i know this films shit. but it's the kinda shit i enjoy.

  • fuck off its great lol

  • Why the fuck does Ash go back, why does Ash restart the tape recorder again? WTF, doesn't he remember the first movie!

  • Groovy.

  • Agreed. I saw this movie when it came out. It's not bad perse, it's amusing and all that. But kinda like the review is suggesting I do find it's highly overrated. But then just about anything that gets the tag "cult classic" is bound to have a rampaging fanbase that will protect it against ANY negative point made.

    Good review.

  • This is one of the greatest comedies ever made!!! What's that? It's not supposed to be funny???

  • This movie is amazing only a fucktard would think otherwise

  • @Nikotehwolf its not a good film but thats what makes it good

  • @cdbils001 You obviously don't understand the humor in it then and the whole concept of it and the fact that it was made with a very small amount of money, make no mistake it is a very good film.

  • @Nikotehwolf i just said it was good, i know how this film was made thanks

  • @cdbils001 You just said its not a good film. Your mistake is saying that in any way this movie could be considered bad, everything about it was top notch. It accomplished what it intended, its not unintentionally great.

  • this movie is actually one of the top rated movies. along with the first one. this movie is one of the greats. well thats just my opinion

  • Wankah!

  • are you saying my favorite movie is bad???

  • I completely agree with u on ur SUSAN!! opinion of the movie

  • What dose "B" movie mean?

    is it "bad" movie? lol

  • BEST FUCKING MOVIE (B-MOVIE) EVER O__O

  • has bruce campbell ever been in a movie where he wasn't an asshole? I haven't watched this but i didn't think much to the first one anyway. The follow up Army Of Darkness was just hilariously emabarrassing.

This movie seems to at least understand that no one will ever take it seriously so therefore just pokes fun at the entire genre. 10/10 review shitcase

  • Back in the late '90s, I watched this movie so much I wore out my tape! XD So I bought another one. Then later, I bought it on DVD. I like the grit of VHS. It's also more reliable. Tapes can wear out, sure, but a little scratch on a DVD jacks it over. Jake from DbD and The Blacksmith from AoD both have cameos in 'My Name Is Bruce'. The moral of the stories of TED and DbD is: Don't jack around with the occult. Some people have actually spliced TED together with DbD so they merge togethernether.

  • @IggyHazard I had a video that a saw AGAIN.. AND AGAIN.. AND AGAIN..

and it never war out :l

but i sold it on ebay LOL!

  • evil dead 1 should be here i saw it so i could see this one and the 3rd one and my god it was so shit and boring youve probibly seen it so would you agree mate

  • Fucking Finally!

  • Review STREET TRASH

  • @LarsSeprest Agreed! Street Trash practically begs for a Shitcasing! XD

  • Haha Wanker!! that bit cracked me up.Was that the good proffessor himself who said that?

  • i must admit i love evil dead 2

  • you can actually find the movie on the internet if you google "turkish star wars" !

if you not know it at least give it a go (as you seem to enjoy so much bad movies , you should at least watch this!)

by the way i am a fan of your bad movies rewiews , i have watched all of them now, all awsome hours of laughter and guilty pleasures! trolls 2 , PLAN 9 and ZARDOZ are my personal favorites so far... keep going guys!

  • @FLASHoverlord Thanks a lot :) I am aware of it as "professor Bruce" showed me a clip of it ages ago but I wasn't too interested. I'll check it out sometime though, for sure! OH MY GOD!

  • @shitcasecinema Hey nice review m8 you like any westerns or cowboy films and are you going to be reviewing any in the furture m8?

  • @lionel346 Thanks. There are a couple of western's I like, but have never planned to review any. The closest I have come is a review of an Elvis film called Charro some months ago.

  • you have to rewiew "turkish star wars" man! ! !

it is so gorgingly that its better than ZARDOZ! when you see it you scream OHMYGOOOOOOOOOD! so loud that all 4 carnosaurs shit on ed wood's pants!

if you don't know yet about it (which is conceivable concidering how obscure it is) see it you will not regret it!!!

  • Hey you should review raging bull.

  • Just one thing love the review :> But wasn't it explained in this one or the first that the bridge towards the cabin got wrecked?

  • come on how can you think this movie is not funny?

  • Ted Raimi (heh...T.E.D.) plays the possessed Henrietta and Sam plays one of the knights at the end (the one who says "hail he who has come from the skies to deliver us...from the terrors of the Deadites!"). Sam is known to have been inspired by Ray Harryhausen. Ivan, the "other" Raimi, doesn't seem to get as much notoriety. Sam is obsessed with the 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (and it has to be piss yellow with a white top). Bruce hates that car but Sam loves it. Sort of a Detroit pride thing.

  • lol i like movies with voodoo zombies

  • "Wanker" HA

  • I am Bruce's demonic hand. I've always been a fan since I first saw it 20 years ago. 8/10, good call.

  • Love this movie.

  • I was thinking of seeing this movie, since I saw the first one and I was rather impressed. But now that I see this review I'm thinking that the series was just not taken seriously afterwards. XD I remember I saw Amry of Darkness and I turned my tv off. I'm one of those people that can't take extremely bad acting, jokes, and horror all in one movie.

  • @GomeztheWolf No, no, no! You should definately see it. 'Dead by Dawn' is the cleverest and best movie ever made (second only to 'WALL-E'). Sure, it's not historically accurate, but it's not an educational movie (durr). By historically accurate, I mean the Sumerians didn't have books, they had clay tablets. And the Red Sea never was made out of blood. And the Sumerians wouldn't have used the nomenclature "Necronomicon ex Mortis" because that's Latin. Sumerians spoke the language of Sumer.

  • @IggyHazard

Okay. I'll take your word for it. =P

  • This is one of my favorite B-movie horror series. Great stuff.

Have you seen the Evil Dead musical?

  • @Alan27Jorn Evil Dead musical?

  • @CanineFaeces Yeah a Canadian production...they basically put Evil Dead 1 & 2 together. Its on YouTube somewhere.

  • Great Review, I have the first two movies and I enjoy them.

Have yet to nab me the third movie.

  • thank you john so much for this review keep up the good work and try not to go too crazy with the crap films!!! we need you alive!!

  • Mate, I love Evil Dead movies!! They're so grotesque, and so funny! :D Great review!

  • When you see Ash fly through the air and spin around, that's technically the beginning of the story of DbD.

Historical FunFact: Sumerians would not have written a "bo0k" since papyrus didn't exist in their time, though the illustrations in that bo0k lo0k awesome. Sumerians used a system of writing called cuneiform (based on pictographs) which they chiseled into clay tablets. Archaeologists consider it to be the oldest systematized form of recording information (discluding cave paintings).

  • Possessed Ed Getley (I think his last name is Getley) eats Bobbi Jo's hair (Bobbi Jo is the grrlfriend/wife/sister/whatever of Jake), not Annie's (who's the grrlfriend and research associate of Ed). I know you didn't want to hear this nerdy detail stuff which is exactly why I'm tormenting you because I'm a sadist like that.

    }:-D

Also, only the first 5 minutes of DbD is a condensed retelling of TED since Raimi couldn't get fo0tage from the original due to lame studio politics.

  • Great movie, great review, comic gold. :)

  • You actually had a Moss Man action figure. I had one too :-) That's a classic

  • Mossman had one of the worst smells of any action figure ever created.

  • Invisible Harley Davidson mowing down people in the woods! ^_^ Evil Dead still has the infamous tree rape scene though...pretty hard to top in terms of perversity.

  • Ah man I love that film to bits!

Great review as always, definitely should do 'Army of Darkness' because, believe it or not, it takes the whole slapstick/horror thing to a whole new level!

  • please sam make evil dead 4, i whant know what happens after the third movie :-)

  • Good review. I hope you review the other Evil Dead movies. The first film and the Army of Darkness.

  • I didn't know about the whole "horror-comedy" thing either. I thought this was a legitimate sequel to ED 1. Which is why when I first watched it I got seriously pissed off. I learned to appreciate it later, however.

  • Very funny review, I love this film and the review is awesome. It's all very silly and the commentary on the DVD fully acknowledges that

  • @lampyman101 That has the best commentary track ive heard on a dvd man. I got the trilogy box and love the 1st 2.

  • bueno BUENO

  • i'm confused, is this satire or how you really feel?

  • @IloveOtherPplsMsry It's satire. Shitcase cinema reviews are always tongue in cheek. He's British and our sense of humour is a lot different to other countries, we like to be deadpan about it. It's called taking the piss, in which you say something bad about something in a serious way, but you are in fact not being serious. It tends to confuse the hell out of people from other countries, but after you're exposed to it for long enough you learnt to recognise when it's humour and when it isn't.

  • another hilarious review. I prefer the shitcase to the showcase >.<

  • first comment!!!!! yet again a great reveiw!!
