  • wat to see BAD

  • I remember when I was a little kid this movie scared the hell out of me with the Red Bull and the Harpy and that creepy king dude...I haven't watched it in maybe fifteen years but found the VHS in an tote box in my attic so I might give it a go.

  • i dislike the narrator to this

  • This is different. I have the older version. I think they changed it or something ;_;

  • shouldn't it be Unihorn?

  • @webkinzgirl142 from Latin ;) cornus meant horn, just as uni meant one, if it was anglicised from the very beginning than it would be 'Onehorn'

  • @koner1999 Me too I think I equated the Red Bull with the devil

  • Wow, I got to this trailer from watching a horror movie trailer.... hmm I guess that makes sense, this probably is a horror!!

  • i don't think i could sit through this even though, as a girl, i love horses and unicorns.

  • @blacksnowcatxx Maybe the original, less sugar-coated trailer could change your mind?

Look up: The Last Unicorn Theatrical Trailer

  • =,) wish i was an unicorn

  • @ 7omnia7

I can't believe a Disney film never said that. That's a great way to look at life properly

  • The odd thing is, I got here from watch The Descent trailer.

  • @MyPaperBleedsInk me too. pretty fuckin scary.

  • what? This trailer makes the last unicorn look like some just-released CG disney movie! I'm going off to find the original trailor now..............

  • this sounds soooo gay! lmfao<3

  • I love it^^ ♥♥♥

  • billy and mandy parody of the CRASS UNICORN

  • What the hell was this sunday evening style spineless, formless, odorless and completely meaningless advertisement? I have seen quite some shit, but to introduce something like the last unicorn like a sunday night fucking football match...

    the fuck...

  • Oh gosh, I think the first trailer they put out was much better. :O Although it looks like a girly movie, it's very mysterious and I think a boy could watch it and be entertained, but this trailer makes every boy fear for their man-pride if they watch it XD

  • I watched this movie so many times

  • yeesssss

  • Jeff Bridges??? JEFF BRIDGES???

  • I got here after watching a trailer for the decent?!? What the actual fuck...

  • @MrRegenaldSimmons same here

  • this happened to me once O.o

  • wow. i looked at this cause i was watching the descent trailer

  • best movie with a horse in it EVAR!

  • So is there unicorn sex or something in this?

  • I loved it when I was a child; NOW I THINK IT'S SHIT!

  • that was my absolutly favourite Film from the 80´s - i had saw this Film first when i was 8 Years old - only the Red Bull had scared me this time... but now i remember it with good feelings, saw this film - and the Soundtrack - so Beautiful...

  • I want the album.

  • I saw this movie! A friend of mine made me watch it and I thought it was gonna be silly. I actually wound up liking it!

  • I didn't even know they still made G rated movies.

  • @AnnieLives The Last Unicorn was made back in the 80's when most..notice I said MOST.. animations still received a G rating.

Now in days it seems the lowest rating an animation can get is PG of not PG-13.

I do remember seeing and liking this movie as a child though, kinda miss it now that they don't make ones like The Last Unicorn anymore.

  • I love this movie! I have him this year for at least 45 or 50 times seen on DVD! I can memorize the theme song in German and English. Also, another song from the movie I can heart! I can not even many dialogues by heart. I have shown good knowledge of unicorns and knows what kind wid Unicorn: It is a Greek Unicorn. be seen particularly in the lion's tail, the deer hooves and the thin and pointed ears!

  • @TheEricCartmen u r the coolest human being to ever live

  • @cheesealtar why i´m the coolest Humen to ever live?

  • One of the very first animated movies i ever saw as a child. I remember being terrified by the Red Bull and the scene where Mommie Fortuna is killed by the harpy really scared me too.

  • @TheAltair4

Red Bull didn't scare me but Mommy Fortuna did and so did King Haggard even with his face, Christopher Lee was awesome as Haggard and Jeff Bridges was also in Tron the same year. 1982 was a great year for Sci-fi/fantasy such as Blade Runner, this, E.T., The Thing, Dark Crystal, Secret of NIMH, Flight of Dragons, Tron, and Star Trek 2. Did you also thought Amalthea was smokin' hot too just like those other girls i mentioned?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yeah, i thought King Haggard was pretty creepy too. 1982 was my favorite year for sci-fi, fantasy and horror movies back in the 80's. Poltergeist, Halloween 3 and Creepshow also all came out that year. Lady Amalthea was pretty damn fine, i must say.

  • @TheAltair4 There were a ton of awesome fantasy flicks back in the '80's, though some things about the '80's I really didn't like, ha.

  • @slave2moonlight I loved everything about the 80's. It was such a fun, wild, wacky and weird decade to be a child in. I honestly wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

  • @TheAltair4 I doubt there is much I would trade it for either. It certainly was a great time to be a child. Possibly the best! Though some things I didn't dig. Mostly the styles/fashions females had in that time. And SOME of the music was pretty bad, but still fun to revisit because it is so uniquely '80's.

  • @slave2moonlight

Do you think the 90s is more your decade?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Not actually. I don't really think in those terms, because each decade has things about it I love and things I don't.

  • Loved this since i was a kid in the 80's when my parents taped it off HBO, one of the best fantasy movies and animated movies ever. Who else thought Lady Amalthea was smoking hot for a toon? she's up there with the likes of Taarna from Heavy Metal, Teegra from Fire and Ice, Angel from Rock and Rule, and Rozzie from Hey Good Looking in the early 80's toon babes category.

  • the red bull drink is named after this mythical bull

  • oh i iwll leave it to the kids i guess they need there share of movies too:)

  • OMFG I remember watching this when i was like 8 years old

    AWESOME!

  • wtf?

  • Der Schmetterling schockt voll

  • that prince looks like a doucher

  • What the HECK, man? You can tell the guy narrating the trailer cannot take the movie seriously at all. TLU deserves better. Such a great movie, yet no-one knows how to market it...

  • terrible commercial for such a good movie

  • You know something, this might be one of rankin bass's best productions along with

flight of dragons and rudolph the red nosed reindeer.

  • this trailer fails! A good trailer makes you want to watch the movie. I love this movie and after this trailer, i feel like I have should be sorry for liking it.

  • what the douche ?

  • child movie..

  • epic fail...

  • Excuse me? The most impressive "voice talent" in the movie was and is Christopher Lee as Hagard - not only because he did a great job, but because he also was the voice of Hagard in the German (!) dub too.

  • I loved this movie as a kid. It remains up there in my top list. And this trailer does make it seem a little umm... sparkly. It really is a dark movie.

  • Oh those SPARKLY SPAKLES!!!

    ...

This is completely stupid. Last Unicorn is muuuch more threatening and darker than the trailer implies!

  • its mainly a little girls movie that also puts some sly lifelessons in it!

its a lot darker than the shitty retarded cartoons you get now.

    leave it alone!

  • based on a novel that is much better... READ IT !

  • @sweetanimechick I disagree, I think this is one of the few cases where the movie and novel were equally awesome, since the author worked with the movie a lot, IIRC.

  • i remember watching this as a kid..the trailer makes it look kinda cheesy but it was actually really good..its definitely a child classic

  • The sparkly sounds and flourishes make this movie look more childish than it really is.

  • Piece of shit

  • wtc... gay

  • This is gayer than a drag queen on steroids at miss gay universe!

  • i remember this, it gave me nightmares aged 4

  • This trailer makes the movie look a lot less dark than it is. I loved the movie when I was younger (and still do), but it's definitely not the Disney fluff it's portrayed as here.

  • Comment removed

  • reminds me of disney classics

  • As cheesy as it looks.

    It was amazing :D

    A child classic

  • Is this a joke?

  • "There are no happy endings cause nothing ends"

    Wow!

  • this movie reminds me of the old skool disney movies, looks interesting

  • the man in vo on this commercial isnt doing a very good job - you need a more authoratative voice to grasp people's attention. he sounds bored, as if he's reading the lines rather than selling us a product effectively.

  • I know the DVD is censored, but I'd still like to get the anniversary edition. The main reason is that while VHS tapes have tricky lifespans, my 20 year-old tape STILL has better video quality than the regular DVD edition. XD

  • censored? what could you censored on the last unicorn? O.O

  • Swearing. A few "damns" and a "hell." One such instance was done pretty shoddily, too.

  • I'm a big fan of The Last Unicorn and I can't help but think that this trailer suck :/

  • they DID beep out "damn" in the DVD - which totally destroys that really emotional scene wherein Molly sees (and yells at) the Unicorn for the first time. Totally anticlimactic when you lose a word in the middle of her rising emotional state.

  • & that fuckin sucxs!!....& yet in the DVD version of the animated movie , Transformers..its cool to say the word "shit".

  • The dude is in this movie. Interesting.

  • I've been thru the desert on a UNICORN with no name. . .

  • real comedic!

  • i heard they had to beep out "damn" everytime they said it in the movie

  • yeah the trailer was lame >< how is this still rated G XD I love this movie so much

  • leotaku from deviantart...? anyway..

Why all the people who saw this movie thinks that is rated more than G ^^U

It looks G rated to me, why not?

  • Because they didn't change the ratings since this movie is already 25 years old... but there are some things that would be considered "adult situations" and/or "sexual content" with the new rating system we have now.

  • I agree it should be rated PG - it has some disturbing imagery, mild violence, and they should have left the word "damn" in and released it as PG.

  • @Okinsei I have no idea how it got a G rating, as there's quite a bit of swearing (though most of it is censored in the DVDs), as well as some "nudity," sorta. It's not with a human, but there's a harpy that has its breasts exposed.

  • @BabyCharmander

Three tits you mean like on Total Recall.

  • I haven't this movie in years it's a great movie

  • This trailer really doesn't do the movie justice, it's like a really crappy and corny disney trailer for the 4th cinderella movie...

  • NOTE TO ALL LAST UNICORN FANS. If you are going to buy this new DVD, get it online from Conlan Press. Right now Peter S. Beagle, author of the novel and the screenplay, gets nothing at all if you buy it somewhere else..

  • connorfc, you're everywhere. I admire your loyalty. :)

  • Where Peter i concerned I am a passionate, driven guy. No question. Thanks for putting a smile on my face today.

  • @connorfc Crap, I wish I had known this before I bought the DVD from Wal-mart. ><;;

  • This is such a beautiful movie! Looking forward to it.

  • err....

  • pass

  • Ehh
