  • Remember if he can throw 200 mph and can't find the strike zone it's all for nothing. Looking from here it looked as if only 2 of those were strikes. Accuracy is more important at this age..

  • throw a changeup

  • Those speedguns are easily 3-5 mph off. My kid threw a 52 mph on a 1500 speed gun. They were all strikes too!

  • i wonder what my son speed is since it seems faster than this and he is also 10 years old.Check my channel where he throws fastball and another clips throwing change ups.BTW 55mph is great for a 10 years old kid.He should reach around 5 mph every birthday

  • I have it but it isnt workin sumhow. I think im doing it wrong, are you supposed to hold it down and when the pitcher lets go of the ball u release?? Can some1 please tell me how to do it correctly! Thanks-

  • @greekballer96 point it straight at the pitcher. pull the trigger and hold it down when the pitcher is in his wind up. when the ball hits the catchers mit let go of the trigger. when you let go of the trigger it will display the fastest speed of the pitch. the score you see before you let go of the trigger is the slowest part of the pitch. the ball slows down the farther it gets from the pitcher.

  • would you recomend that radar gun? thanks a lot ur sons got some heat

  • if money is no issue get a stalker. it has about 3x the range and you can clock from the stands. if you don't want to spend 700-1000 then get this for under 100.00. i have put mine up against the stalker a few months ago. mitchell was throwing 58 59 mph and the stalker gave the same reading as the bushnell. 1 year later he gained 4 to 5 mph.

  • It's like an commercial lol

  • im assuming your a cop if you deal with radar guns at your job. BTW your son has a strong arm for a 10 year old

  • good velocity for 10

  • Exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to go on ebay and get mine now.

  • change throw with basketball for exercise... it will improve arm strenght

  • be careful doing that it can hurt your shoulder big time

  • I remember in league i use to play in when i was little. This beast 12 year old consistently could throw on radar 70 mph.

  • My son throws around the same..Just wondering if you use the changeup and how often..I was told to throw it at least once per hitter per AB..And your right, it is fun to put them on the gun to show progress..He was throwing 49-50 when he was 9 but he would lose some speed after about 25 pitches..Our league in Canada has a pitch count of 44 per game or 70 but if he hit 70 he couldn't pitch for 3 days..What can u do to improve arm strenth?

  • change up. nothing is set in stone. my son seems to get a feel for the batter and their timing. sometimes he throws all fastballs. he throws a curve but i tell him not to he still does.

loss of speed. it could be his age and level of developement. it could be mechanics. my son is now 11. he is 5-06 130 lbs. i have him weightlifting. not squats just some upper body: bench, curls, tris, lats. lower weight high reps. we work out 5 days a week. took winter off throwing. just starting back.

  • @richanderica u should make him do squats it will help a lot more because you use ur legs to push off the rubber hope it helps

  • he is now doing squats. i did some research it will not hurt him. it actually helps the bones get stronger along with the muscles.

  • @fatmanstomp1 im from canada 2 what leauge?

  • when i was 11 i could pitch 65

  • Nice pitching kid!
