phpMyAdmin Tutorial Part 1 of 2

I tried to make heads or tails out of the docs but I kept getting the run around.

Every time I would click on a link and read what was there, It would always

refer me BACK to where I had come from. Totally stupid set up.

This doesn't help my situation at all. I'm having a problem with passwords.

I keep getting this error:

"The additional features for working with linked tables have been deactivated. To find out why click here."

I've looked through the documentation. I am completely lost here on how to

get everything working properly.

As a TOTAL newbie I'd be goddamn happy to have a tutorial about how to set up phpMyAdmin in the first place. For instance in this tutorial the software is already up and running. But freaking how?

I thought user is suppose to use the option reload privileges after setting up the privileges.
