a close fight, it could've gone either way & ultimately went to pac for the knockdown. But marq got up & gave pac a hella of a fight. thats why he didn't qualify for the 3rd bout. Age does play some factor, but it's all about who uses their tools more effectively at the end of the day. And Manny Pacquiao showed in those two KO wins against Morales that used the right hand as effectively as the left and had better movement.

There's a difference though. In the first fight, Erik Morales was leading and countering against Manny Pacquiao and Morales chased Pacquiao all over the ring after landing a counter by going forward and forcing Pacquiao to go back straight. He mixed up his game.
Juan Manuel Marquez landed a counter, but Pacquiao kept coming forward forcing JMM to back up. And in the judges eyes, they don't like seeing a fighter backing up.

a close fight, it could've gone either way & ultimately went to pac for the knockdown. But marq got up & gave pac a hella of a fight. thats why he didn't qualify for the 3rd bout. Who knows? Jerry Roth maybe liked Marquez's counterpunching style based on his scorecard. Duane Ford maybe liked Pacquiao's aggression on his scorecard. Both men landed hard shots and did quality damage. And Tom Miller liked both and had an even scorecard with the sole exception for the knockdown scored by Pacquiao in Round 3.
It happened with the Miguel Cotto vs. Joshua Clottey fight.
We simply don't know what the judges are going to make their final decisions based on.

pacquiao is not true warrior. after his first loss to morales, he complained about the gloves, ring size and didnt want to go up in weight even though morales was struggling to make weight. let me remind you guys that morales had the fight in the bag till the mid rounds where fatigued exponentially; this clearly was a result of the battle to make weight. the third fight...come on, did you see morales? he was sucked dry. no muscle. no way he could make that weight and be effective

Manny exposed Morales with body shots, right hands, right hooks, ring generalship, etc. That's how Pacquiao got those two KO stoppage wins against El Terrible.

You forget that Morales had already lost to Raheem before Pac beat him. In fact Morales only won one of his last 6 fights and that was against Pac.
Pac fans are so blind it is comical.
In fact everytime Morales fought Pac he was coming off a loss. Pac seems to love fighting guys who are coming off a recent significant loss.

How did Shane Mosley who was 37 defeated Antonio Margarito easily. Ditto for George Foreman over Michael Moorer.
Age does play some factor, but it's all about who uses their tools more effectively at the end of the day. And Manny Pacquiao showed in those two KO wins against Morales that used the right hand as effectively as the left and had better movement.
You just underestimate MPs improved skills.
